May 21, 2015 at 4:42 am in reply to: Removing sidebar for Single Blog Posts Categorized as "Testimonials" #153075alethamcmanamaMemberThanks, Graham! I went with the full width content filter above. Worked like a charm!
Thanks again for your help.

That worked! Thanks for your help!
Warmly,
Aletha McManamaalethamcmanamaMemberBrad,
Your CSS code above did not work when I added it to any of the code above in my earlier message. What happened is the search button moved in front of the text field instead of the magnifying glass moving to the right inside of the text field. Any other ideas on how to make this work?
Help!
Thanks.
AlethaalethamcmanamaMemberBrad,
Also, my client has requested the hour-glass icon show as right-aligned inside the search block. Tried adding 'align: right;' to the above CSS code, but that did not work. Help with this question too, please?
Look forward to hearing back from you on this. Thanks!
Warmly,
Aletha McManamaalethamcmanamaMemberBrad,
That worked. I like the search form with the hour-glass icon in it.
One last question, please:
When I type text in the search form box, it cuts off the bottom of the text. I tried to locate the style code to increase the height, but couldn't locate it. Can you let me know where you would code it in the style sheet? I tried to add it to the style code below, but it would remove the hour-glass icon. Here's the link to the home page again:
http://srinikahealing.com/draft/.nav-primary .search-form input[type="search"] { width: 160px; } .nav-primary .search-form input { content: "\f179"; display: inline-block; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; font: normal 16px/1 'dashicons'; vertical-align: top; }
I'm almost there! Thanks.
Aletha
alethamcmanamaMemberBrad,
I added the hour-glass icon to the theme's stylesheet, but it did not work. Here's the code I found and added it to. Is this the right place to add it? I noted below (in a box) the code I needed for the hour-glass icon.
.genesis-nav-menu > .search input {
font-size: 12px;
font-color: #810220;
background color: #F1ECD8;
content: "\f179";
padding: 6px 22px;
}Thanks for your help.

Thanks so much for your help! 🙂
Warmly,
Aletha McManamaalethamcmanamaMemberThat did the trick this time, Christoph. Again, thank you for all your time in helping me resolve this. I've learned something new about the Genesis themes today!
Warmly,
AlethaalethamcmanamaMemberAwesome, Christoph. That really worked! And, yes, I like the links to be placed above the comments, so I went with the action hook above.
One more question though and then I'm done:
Is there any way to not have the "blog archives" image and link not show up on this page (link below) where I have a layout view of just one blog post and I have a link to go to the blog archives page already? I don't need it to show up twice, plus for some reason, my arrow image is squashed down to where you can't even see it at the bottom of that page.
Here's the page I'm referring to: http://srinikahealing.com/draft/blog/
You've been SO helpful in me resolving this issue. I cannot WAIT to get this website completed!
Warmly,
AlethaalethamcmanamaMemberfunction link_testimonial_blog_archive () { if ( is_category('testimonials' ) ) { echo '<a href="http://srinikahealing.com/draft/testimonials/"><img src="http://srinikahealing.com/draft/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/back-arrow-burg_25x25px.png">Back to Testimonials</a>'; } else {*<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><a title="Blog" href="http://srinikahealing.com/draft/blog-summary/"> <img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2603" src="http://srinikahealing.com/draft/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/back-arrow-burg_25x25px.png" alt="back-arrow-burg_25x25px" width="25" height="25" border="0" />Back to Blog Archives</a></strong></span></p>*} }; add_action( 'genesis_after_entry', 'link_testimonial_blog_archive' );
alethamcmanamaMemberChristoph,
I did actually remove those asterisks earlier, then saved, but still got the parse error above. Maybe I placed the code in the wrong place in the functions.php file? I had originally placed it at the bottom of the functions.php file, but then tried the middle and still got the error message. Any other ideas?
Thanks!
Aletha
alethamcmanamaMemberChristoph,
I attempted to add the above in the functions.php file, but I got an error message that read this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '*' in /home/content/37/8755837/html/draft/wp-content/themes/enterprise-pro/functions.php on line 152
Maybe I placed it incorrectly in the functions.php file?
Below is what I pasted in the functions.php file based on what you said add in:
function link_testimonial_blog_archive () {
if ( is_category('testimonials' ) ) {
echo 'Back to Testimonials';
} else {*<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">
Back to Blog Archives</span></p>*}
};add_action( 'genesis_after_entry', 'link_testimonial_blog_archive' );
Did I input something above incorrectly?
Help?
Thanks so much!

I went ahead and revised the functions.php file and removed the fixed height for the .nav-primary and it now shows up on mobile devices.
Thank you, both, for your help!

AlethaFebruary 15, 2015 at 8:56 pm in reply to: Enterprise Pro Theme – Home Top Featured Post Help #140976alethamcmanamaMemberHi, Tim. Well, instead of using a Featured Post widget in the Home Top area of my home page, you use a Featured Page widget instead. I had to work with the featured image and tweak the CSS style code a bit, but you can see how it looks now...so much better!
Here's the link again: http://srinikahealing.com/draft/
Again, thank you for your diligent help in this matter. I learned something new this past week!

Thank you so much for trying! I did go ahead and submit a support ticket this morning to see if we can get this issue resolved. I'll let you know what they tell me. Stay tuned! 🙂

The featured image in the blog post is set to the correct size and it's what I chose on the Featured Post widget which was 750 x 600 pixels. Oh, this is frustrating. I wish I knew what the problem was.
Thanks.
