WordPress builds archive pages for you by defaults, with any theme. They are date based and author based, plus when you use categories and tags you get those archive pages too.

This happens as soon as you press the publish button.

You can start with the sample custom theme we provide as well. It’s pretty bare.

If you follow the developers on Twitter you will see that it is very much an active project.

Also it is the core of our business – why on earth would we drop it??

Nothing has *needed* updates for the latest version of WordPress, so we do not send out upgrades just for the sake of having something to update. From January to June is only 6 months.

Remember, the bulk of the team also follows core WordPress development os we are aware of any changes that might be needed.

re: the WP forums. It is there policy to refer people who use paid themes back to the developers. All the forums there are staffed by *volunteers*.

When posting at the wp.org forums, if you do have issues, state what you have done to try and solve it.

“. I posted to a photographer to assist him as he wasn’t getting support and I got blocked from the WordPress forums!!”

If you use abusive language, post too often, or complain too much then yes, you will get blocked.

Login to http://my.studiopress.com/ and click the Theme Setup link next to the theme download.

It shows how to set the theme up like the demo.

We also do not use bbcode in these forums. It will mark you as a spam post.

The built in menu for headers under Appearance -> Header is a core WordPress menu.

It is not specific to our themes and needs to be fixed in WordPress itself.

    Resave the permalinks.

Also, you look like you’re using a plugin to strip the category from the url. if you have a page called “social media” as well, it could be interfering.

This is a core WordPress issue, not specific to Genesis.

Enabling Google Authorship has nothing to do with adding G+ sharing buttons on your site.

No, and the reason is that child themes do not get upgraded. Stay where you are.

Note we have no built in caching in our themes. If you;re making changes t the right css file, there’s nothing in Genesis to prevent it from showing up on your site.

“I submitted a ticket and now have to wait from 24 – 48 hours!”

Just for clarification – this is the *maximum wait time, not the average.

Also note this is the community forum, not official support. I did see you got your issue resolved though.

Then the live preview feature is removing the widgets. Let WordPress.org know in the forums.

The widgets screen has an “inactive widgets” holding area where the widgets you last used are kept.

Erin is correct – actually delivering the email is not a theme function. Talk to your web host.

No. It is not the theme.

URLS are created by WordPress itself. Please check your permalink settings and your plugins.
