Never-mind, finally worked it out, if anyone is interested:
function cm_admin_defaults( $blog_id ) { // tests update_blog_option( $blog_id, 'posts_per_page', 13 ); update_blog_option( $blog_id, 'comment_whitelist', '0' ); } add_action( 'wpmu_new_blog', 'cm_admin_defaults' );
December 16, 2014 at 11:13 pm in reply to: Move SEO settings admin menu link to another part of the admin menu #134729Mana193MemberCan anyone help me with this last bit of how to display SEO settings:
// Remove Genesis admin menu remove_theme_support( 'genesis-admin-menu' ); // Hook for adding admin menus add_action('admin_menu', 'new_seo_settings_link'); // action function for above hook function new_seo_settings_link() { // Add a new submenu under Settings: add_options_page(__('SEO Settings','menu-test'), __('SEO Settings','menu-test'), 'manage_options', 'testsettings', 'seo_settings_page'); } function seo_settings_page() { if (!current_user_can('manage_options')) { wp_die( __('You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.') ); } /* Display SEO settings page */ }
Any help much appreciated.
Mana193MemberIs your logo 'Indian Institute of Organization Development' ?
As I can see that logo on my browser, did you get the issue resolved?
December 15, 2014 at 10:36 am in reply to: Change width of main content column on Ipad Landscape — Eleven40 Pro theme #134586Mana193MemberWe got .sidebar-sidebar-content wrong, it's supposed to be .sidebar-content-sidebar
In that media query give this a go:
.sidebar-content-sidebar .content-sidebar-wrap { width: 100%; } .sidebar-content-sidebar .content { width: 625px; border-left: 0; } /* optional for secondary-sidebar to display full width and at the bottom*/ .sidebar-secondary { width: 100%; }
Hope this helps
December 15, 2014 at 10:11 am in reply to: Change width of main content column on Ipad Landscape — Eleven40 Pro theme #134581Mana193MemberI just submitd something similar to David Chu but he got there just before so am now editing this for a few extra notes.
You don't have to remove the secondary sidebar, you can just set it to full width in that same media query you mentioned and it will display full width at the bottom:
.sidebar-secondary { width: 100%; }
You may want to also remove the left border on the content as it will still display so also add to in that media query:
.sidebar-sidebar-content .content { width: 625px; border-left: 0; }
Mana193MemberThe answer to #1, is that two things are creating that gap - the .site-tagline (that you are not using) and the header image.
That footer margin will work though or if you want the bottom of the header to touch the top of the footer, you could try something like this:/* fix tagline gap */ .site-tagline { display: inline; /* or */ display: none; } /* fix header gap - make your header image a display:block*/ custom-bg { display: block; }
Mana193MemberThanks braddalton, That looks like that will work. I will try it next time I update my website and I will add source link.
Mana193MemberThanks for your help.
That worked.
June 20, 2014 at 11:47 am in reply to: adding the header as an img tag in the html rather than a css background #110800Mana193MemberThanks Nick this worked great, much appreciated.
I would also like to link the header to the user homepage.
Does anyone know the best way to do this. I thought I could do this with:
echo '<a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>"> <img src="'.get_header_image().'"> </a>'; }
but got a syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';'
Managed to get it to work with this though:
echo ' <a href="'.get_home_url().'"> <img src="'.get_header_image().'" /> </a>';
I don't really know php well (only css) so I don't know if the above is ok to use.
