If you don't like the home page of Executive, you can take the home page from Magazine and use it. Using FTP - rename your current home page - home-old.php, then copy over the Magazine home. But... you will also need to
swapregister the Magazine widget areas, etc., etc.. I have swapped out a few different home.php files. So you will really need to do it step by step.

AnitaKeymasterHow do you have your permalinks set up?

AnitaKeymasterAre you talking about the Genesis Framework 2.0 version? The hooks for 2.0 are different than pre-2.0. Look here - http://www.briangardner.com/code/genesis-html5-loop-hooks/.

AnitaKeymasterThere's a couple ways you can get the mobile version to be responsive. You can create varying sizes of your header (width size 1024, 768, 480, 320 and 240). Then in the different mobile response areas add the #header element and include the appropriate header image. Or you could use Nicks - Genesis Responsive Header - http://designsbynickthegeek.com/plugins/genesis-responsive-header. You would still need those custom sizes, but you won't need to create the different #header elements. For the color - you will need to add the color to that area in the media queries/responsive area of the style sheet.

June 29, 2013 at 4:19 pm in reply to: How To Insert Slider Widget in New Genesis 2.0 Child Starter Theme #48418AnitaKeymasterAlso, I note this because the mark up in 2.0 is different. You can see the comparison chart here - http://www.briangardner.com/code/genesis-html5-loop-hooks/.

June 29, 2013 at 4:15 pm in reply to: How To Insert Slider Widget in New Genesis 2.0 Child Starter Theme #48417AnitaKeymaster@4wardMotion, please keep in mind that the suggestion @RobG gave you may not work as the a lot of the code in 2.0 has been changed. 2.0 is still in Beta.

AnitaKeymasterI have moved your discussion to it's own entry as it is unrelated to the previous person's issue. Where did you add the link?

AnitaKeymasterElaine, use the contact form on my website and send me an email. I can help you offline. I am Eastern Standard Time. This is very puzzling.

June 28, 2013 at 8:07 pm in reply to: Luscious theme – moving from wordpress to self-hosted wordpress site #48325AnitaKeymaster@mktg4photogs, you will need to purchase the Genesis Framework and the Luscious Child Theme all over again. The themes you purchase on WordPress.com cannot be ported out of there. So therefore you need to buy it from Studiopress. Studiopress will not provide any Technical Support unless you purchase from them. The Community Forum is free.

AnitaKeymasterYou could try the Genesis Palette - http://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-palette/ to change some colors. I personally haven't used it but it's by one of the developers so it should probably work. If you need some customization services, feel free to email me on my website.

AnitaKeymasterIf you want to customize the color or apply a background image to the Read More link, you need to do that with CSS. Your Read More is in there are #more-link so... start with this:
.more-link { background: #cc9900; decoration: none; }
You can add a background image to that, etc., etc.

AnitaKeymaster@sassyferolicious, you can just overwrite what's there. You don't have to put code in yours if you don't want to, it can merely be plain text.

AnitaKeymasterHi Heather, Family Tree is one of the older child themes and therefore may not be compatible with the Customize tab which is fairly new in the last few WP updates. I think you should put in a support ticket with Studiopress about that.

AnitaKeymasterUnfortunately, you are having a theme specific issue since you just installed it. The developer may already be aware of this issue, so it would be best to contact her.

AnitaKeymasterYou can use the User Role Editor - http://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/. Create user roles for the different Guests and turn on/off the function you want those roles to have. I used that and also this tutorial called - How to Enable Genesis Author Boxes Automatically for ALL Users - http://wpsmith.net/2012/genesis/how-to-enable-genesis-author-boxes-automatically-for-all-users/. So maybe you can tweak his code to a specific role.
