That’s fine. I just felt like you openly “scolded” like a 4 year old here. So I’ll just read and watch.
Sorry, you can remove it. I was doing that so a non-Studiopress developer wouldn’t respond. There are times when people chime in who really don’t have a resolution. I won’t do it again, sorry. And it was suggested to me to Tweet, but I won’t do that either.
I am using Firefox v 17.0.1 and I see the space in there. I’ve tried using Firebug to remove the space and cannot locate it anywhere. As for your load time, I cannot comment about that, but maybe someone else will chime in here.
I am hoping for this answer. I am using Outreach 2.0 also and the instructions inside Genesis Connect for copying the buddypress.css for the Outreach theme do not apply.
**STUDIOPRESS / GENESIS CONNECT DEVELOPERS**
Can someone please provide the 2.0 CSS for the Genesis Connect as it relates to the Outreach theme? There are several people on here requesting this file.
Morning, I am using the same exact theme but with text at the top, no custom header. I am (NOT) great at this but, my code looks like what I wrote below. Because you used the Header feature to insert your header – it changed the entire configuration of that area. When I try to change your theme with Firefox, it won’t work. But, if you delete/remove the header under Appearance > Header – your should be able to modify the code below which is already in your theme – then replace repeat-y with no-repeat, then change the URL with the full link to your logo – it should all work for you because it just worked for me. This has been nuts. If it doesn’t work, I will just stop responding.
background: #090909 url(images/header.png) center repeat-y;
background-position: center !important;
margin: 0 auto;
It’s difficult to troubleshoot without seeing what you have. I will defer to someone else who may be able to assist without looking.
Please provide a link to your website so we can take a look. Thank you.
Did you add the slider as a widget to the page or did you use a shortcode?
Sheesh, I am so stumped. Did you view it before you deleted it from the Appearance> Header? Add that back, take a look and if it’s still not right. Submit a ticket and reference the link to this forum. I am totally stumped!
Do you see this in your Style.css? If so, replace the URL you see there with the URL of your header image. Then remove the header from Appearance > Header.
background: url(“images/header.png”) repeat-y scroll center center #090909;
margin: 0 auto;
I can’t for the life of me figure this out. But when I first looked at it – I changed the word Transparent to color code #000000. Add the image back in there and let me look again. Keep in mind that I think your image was wider than the header space also.
Do you see this code in your Style.css? If so – remove it. When I remove it from Firefox – the header shows up by way of another line of code. Delete that.
background: url(“”) no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
But I thought you said you used Dreamweaver to insert the header image?
Yes, because you labeled the SLIDER itself and not a particular image. The slider settings will allow you to add the number of images you want in the slider. Review it for the instructions.
Go over to Appearance > header and REMOVE the image from there. I believe that’s where the problem lies.
