You can add it to the sidebar via a text widget (see home of demo - http://demo.studiopress.com/news/). News also has an After Post widget area (see this page of the demo - right above Brian's photo - http://demo.studiopress.com/news/victoria-beckham/). Create your codes, place them in text widgets and drag them to the appropriate widget areas.

AnitaKeymasterHave you tried the All in One Event Calendar - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/. Most of my clients like that or just using the Google Calendar with the WordPress plugin.

AnitaKeymasterThanks Bill, I noticed there was a link to check to see if cURL was enabled and it was already enabled allowing me to use it. I am installing the Email to Download plugin and it works pretty well.

AnitaKeymasterWhat version is Genesis is on the Development site and what version is on the LIVE site? The LIVE site should be the same Genesis version as the development site.

Although it's called Welcome, you can rename it or just use it the way you want.

AnitaKeymasterWhen you copy things over - you still have to go back and move all the widgets into the appropriate place. The positions don't copy over.

AnitaKeymasterThis seems to be the best solution that most have found lately - http://soliloquywp.com/.

AnitaKeymasterI forgot to add in one more step:
You need to also add in for the slider widget, so you'll need to grab the id of your slider. Make the adjustments to the width to your liking.
#genesisresponsiveslider-widget-5 { width: 550px; float: left; }

AnitaKeymasterHi everyone, this is what I was able to come up with. If you want to have the slider on one side and say another text widget on the other side here's what I did. Here is the screenshot - click here.
I took the Genesis Slider code and added it to the Style.css file and added the float. You need to change the size of your slider to about 500px wide to 250 or 300px tall - whatever you like but fits.
#genesis-slider { background-color: #FFFFFF; border: 10px solid #EEEEEE; padding: 10px; float: left; }
Then I dragged a Text widget under the slider in the Home Featured Widget area. That text widget id is “text-2”. I added the float and the width.
#text-2 { background-color: #FFFFFF; float: right; padding: 10px; width: 440px; }
Now, if you want something other than a text widget on the right - you will need to locate the id of that widget. I use Firebug for Firefox. Change out the #text-2 with the id of the widget you placed in there and then modify the CSS as needed.

AnitaKeymasterI missed read what you wanted - try this - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/featured-video/.
You install that. Whenever you place a URL to video in a post, it will grab the video thumbnail and use that as the featured image.

AnitaKeymasterYou can use Nick's Nav Menu Amplified to add a search box to the secondary menu - http://designsbynickthegeek.com/plugins/genesis-nav-menu-amplified.

AnitaKeymasterLook for this -
#featured-image { text-align: center; width: 100%; }
Replace that with this
#featured-image { display: none }

AnitaKeymasterFor the video - just use a text widget and add your video code in there. Drag that text widget over to the Home Top area.
For the default featured image - try this plugin - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/default-featured-image/. For category specific, take a look at this - which was found under the plugin's support tab - http://wordpress.org/support/topic/post-category-2.
