Install the Jetpack plugin. It has a really nice Mobile feature in there that will convert your site to mobile web with a mobile menu. It’s pretty nice. I have an Android. It give the visitor a link also to see the site in REGULAR viewing mode too. Try that before you hack you code.
Please post a link to your website and also tell us where you want the slider. Do you want to keep the image and ADD a slider or do you want to REMOVE the image and ADD a slider?
Please post a link to your website. It’s helpful in assisting you. The color you are speaking of is probably the “background image”. The page background and the navigation use images along with background colors. You have several choices – remove the background images and use HTML color codes, or you can re-color those images and upload them back to the site or you can just create new images to replace them. But without see what you have it’s really hard to give you more details.
To add to both of these great responses – you don’t necessarily need to re-color the image. If you are a newbie, you can easily remove the URL information and change the
#1EA7E8 to the color you want. You aren’t forced to use an image in the box it just looks nice because the image has a gradient color to it.

I sat here over the weekend and answered as many as I could given I have limited technical skill, but I answered as many as I could and will continue to do so.
Try these two things:
Go to the Genesis tab on the left – look to see that Comments on Posts is checked – if not – check it.
Look on the individual post itself for the Discussion to see if the boxes are checked or unchecked.

Go into your Discussion settings and see if there is a DATE LIMIT to comment. There’s a section that says something about not allowing comments that are X days old.

I see some extra paragraph markup in there – <p>SPACE </p>. When I use firebug – I can delete them out and then they all line up.
