Did you edit your Style.css file to accommodate the split sidebars?

December 9, 2012 at 6:11 am in reply to: Adjusting Sublime Short Code to float video and wrap text #3977AnitaKeymasterLooking at what you provided and instructions found here (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wrapping-text-around-embedded-video) - I would think you should add a float="right" to the shortcode itself when you place it on the page. Have you tried that?
***Added this after I saved**** - it should work - I tried it with Firebug and the video adjusted to the right.

AnitaKeymasterYou can use Buddypress for that and install the GenesisConnect plugin to assist with formatting Buddypress with your theme. You can add custom fields. There is another member-based plugin called Mingle in the plugin repository also. If you don't want the members to to do a lot of things, but merely want member profiles - look at Mingle also.

AnitaKeymasterThe green at the top is actually an image under the #wrap area of the Style.css. You will need to modify the Style.css to change the colors, fonts, etc. It helps to use Firebug for Firefox - it helps to show you which areas you should be changing.

AnitaKeymasterHere is a plugin you can review to see if it will work for you. https://shopplugin.net/.

AnitaKeymasterI would start with the sample and build around that. This way you have all the traditional elements and coding of the Genesis framework and you can just customize it the way you want it. At least you already know that Genesis Connect works with the Sample - start from there.

AnitaKeymasterYes, you can use Disqus for sure and it's easier to implement. I use it on several of my client sites. Try the Disqus.

AnitaKeymasterHere's another tabber - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tabber-tabs-widget/screenshots/. And if you look at the URLs in the source - your will see the /wp-contents/plugins/XXXXXXX in the code.

AnitaKeymasterYep, there are plenty of plugins. Here's one - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-tabber-widget/screenshots/.
Here's a great tip I use Susan - when I see a WP site I like or plugins used that I like - I "VIEW SOURCE" and you can see the plugins they are using. Just go to the Repository and you'll find them.

December 8, 2012 at 8:39 pm in reply to: Subject for Discussion: Selling a site versus installing a siteā¦ #3936AnitaKeymasterIn a client situation - I actually will set everything up on their hosting, however they don't have access to the account until we are finished. I know a lot of people use offline programs to work on their sites, but I found that to be too much work transferring everything. So, I work on a LIVE hosting account, but the site is in maintenance mode until we are finished. And, I get 1/2 of the money up front - unless it's a large project - I'll ask for 2/3 of it up front. The final payment is due before I had over user id's and passwords to all of the accounts.

AnitaKeymasterYou may want to disable any new plugins - one at a time to see if there is a conflict.

AnitaKeymasterI see changes. I see you added your Twitter ID on there. Your site looks really nice. Great job.
