Each child theme comes with a Changelog that tells you what has been updated. Use that as your guide.

AnitaKeymasterYou should add a link to the site so we can view the source code. Not much we can do with an image.

AnitaKeymasterIn the latest version of Genesis you can do it in the Customizer under the Genesis Settings.

AnitaKeymasterNinja Forms has instructions on this - https://ninjaforms.com/blog/add-custom-css-to-wordpress-forms/. The easy way is the Customizer.

AnitaKeymasterThe instructions for setting up the theme should be in your my.studiopress.com account, or a link to it on Design by Bloom which is the theme designer. They provide support for their themes here - https://designbybloom.co/contact/. Reach out to them for assistance.

AnitaKeymaster@memerunner put a empty Custom HTML widget on Footer 1 and then the social icons in Footer 2. The footer widgets need Footer 1 to enable the Footer widgets area.

AnitaKeymasterHi @squidzink I think a good place for you would be Genesis Slack. You can get more people to chime in here. There's also a Workflow channel and a lot of other channels. You'll land in the General Channel for starters, then look these channels Workflow, Questions, PHP, Gutenberg, etc.

AnitaKeymasterGenesis Child Themes
do
get updated from time to time, however before you would implement that update you would compare the files, i.e., the stylesheet to see what changes may have been made. Then you would need to see if there are changes you want to make. Putting you changes in a custom.css file would be a good way to go so that if for some reason you or the client should accidently overwrite the stylesheet, the custom changes would be fine because they are in their own file.It's really up to your own personal preference really. But I keep my customizations separate.

January 7, 2020 at 6:27 am in reply to: Where to modify the content of each post on the Blog page #495834AnitaKeymaster@memerunner in regard to your statement:
It's currently showing the entire content of each post on the Blog page.
To control the output of the page you need to go Genesis > Theme Settings. Select Content Archives. From there you have options to 1) No Content, 2) Full Content, or 3) Excerpt. If you do not want the full content but just a snippet, select Excerpt.
Download Genesis for Beginners which is located on the right sidebar of your my.studiopress.com account. You can keep that window open as you learn to navigate Genesis.

AnitaKeymaster@sangeetha since you tried those solutions, try adding this to your Additional CSS box under Appearance > Customize:
#foodie-search { display: none; }
You may need to clear any caching you have in the website.

January 6, 2020 at 6:32 pm in reply to: Trying to remove excerpt from Search Results page only #495824AnitaKeymaster@webmonkey I just did a test on a demo I have. I copied the
search.php
file out of Genesis and placed it in the theme folder. I then took my markup of how I wanted to see the search results and added it to thesearch.php
file. When I did that, it work nicely.Try doing that.

AnitaKeymasterOkay, then if you had the Pro Pack you could have used a different email address for that. Contact StudioPress here.

January 5, 2020 at 1:52 pm in reply to: Google analytics showing zero traffic after I changed the theme #495803AnitaKeymasterAs Victor and I mentioned, the theme should not be the issue UNLESS you've added analytics code to the child theme itself. I think you should do what you think will resolve the issue, especially if you said it worked with the previous theme. But the theme itself would not keep Google Analytics from working.

AnitaKeymaster@markajh I'm sorry! My message should have asked if you see the same behavior in Safar on the Essense Pro demo - https://demo.studiopress.com/essence/. I just wanted to make sure the demo looked the same way with the setting. But as long as it's resolved for you, that's good.

January 5, 2020 at 10:38 am in reply to: Trying to remove excerpt from Search Results page only #495798AnitaKeymaster@webmonkey StudioPress doesn't visit the forum that often. You might want to copy/paste your response here and send it in their contact form. Join up on the Genesis Slack. You'll land in the General Channel, and there is a Contributor channel. I'll watch for you.

AnitaKeymasterLook for this around line 652 of your stylesheet.
.site-inner { background-color: #fff; clear: both; margin-top: 170px; position: relative; z-index: 9; -word-wrap: break-word; }
Reduce the
margin-top
to a number you like.

AnitaKeymasterI use All In One Migration for this. It will export the entire site. Export the site, download the .wpress file.
Set up the new WP install with the same user id and password you use for the first website. Install, activate All in One Migration on the new website. Then import the .wpress file.
It will be a complete clone of the first website.
But... if you are going to use the same hosting account, i.e., you're on SiteGround right now, you can simply copy that installation over to the new domain name. Again, it will be an exact copy. I know you can do this with SiteGround and GoDaddy. Bluehost doesn't have that capability. But check with your host. That might be the easier way to go.

AnitaKeymaster@markajh does the Essence Pro theme look the same way before you press "Command 0" in Safari? Which version of Essence are you using?

January 5, 2020 at 10:21 am in reply to: Using Genesis/Dynamik, but changing from Beaver Builder to Elementor – problems? #495794AnitaKeymaster@tedzark that would be a better question to ask in the Beaver Builder or Elementor Facebook group. The two page builders are completely different, so I would assume anything you build in BB would naturally break. I'd post this question in one or both of those groups.
