@qburns I cannot see what the featured image is supposed to be on the post. Do you have your custom image as the featured image on the post edit screen right? You are depending on the image in the body of the post to be pulled?
Do you your image adequately sized for social media? What are the dimensions of the image.

AnitaKeymasterHi @jaqkar, just a side note here. Jessica is a third party theme and there is a checkbox for updates under the Jessica settings to let you know when 9Seeds has updated Jessica. Their Changelog is here. So it might be pretty easy for you to keep up with the updates and manually implement them. Or, if you only have templates, maybe think about putting the templates into a plugin.

AnitaKeymasterOn the Genesis Changelog for 3.0 Release of June 19, 2019 under "Removed", you will see that they "Removed support for all non-html5 output". As such, if you are using an XHTML theme, you will no longer receive Genesis Framework updates. Your version will remain pre-3.0.
This was also noted in their blog of May 30, 2019 - https://studiopress.blog/genesis-3-0-beta/.
If you haven't signed up for the newsletter, you may want to do that.

AnitaKeymasterGiven the introduction of Gutenberg and the block editor, many theme designers have had to put a hold on new theme development to "catch up". StudioPress has been updating their themes to be "block editor" friendly, as have other developers. It all takes time especially since the block editor hasn't been out a full year yet and there have been bugs along the way. I think with a little patience, you will see new themes on the horizon.

Your post shows the image when I use the FB share button on the site. I scraped it a few times. Open Graphite Pro and Yoast being active at the same time could be causing a conflict.
@gbums can you share a link to the post?

October 15, 2019 at 1:22 pm in reply to: Modifying the default WordPress password protected content form in Genesis #494026AnitaKeymasterThat sounds like you would need a member plugin to do that or maybe a plugin like Peter's Login Redirect.

AnitaKeymasterYou have modified/customized Altitude Pro to use the Slider on the home page and some other functions. You may want to run a plugin check to see if there is a plugin conflict. When I move away from the home, the drop downs appear, but on the home page, I see in the code that there is a "display: none;" telling the home page to "not" display the drop down/submenu." So check you code and/or do a plugin conflict check.

AnitaKeymaster@linzinz you are using Version 1.0.0 of Altitude Pro. The latest Version is 1.2.2 which has been updated to Gutenberg. Make sure you are running the most up-to-date version of Genesis and that you have increased your PHP to 7.2. That may resolve it for you. To see what PHP version you are using go to Tools > Site Health and check the Server settings.

AnitaKeymasterYes, that makes sense. You would need to use a custom featured posts widget customized the way you want it. Take a look at this. If you need help with that, reach out to Sridhar directly.

AnitaKeymasterYou could use Jetpack's Subscriptions feature or you would need to use an email program like MailChimp to send out some sort of RSS Feed to Email digest of the new posts.

October 13, 2019 at 10:02 am in reply to: Portfolio theme with video/mp4 option for featured image #493983AnitaKeymasterNone of the StudioPress or Third Party themes have the capability for the "featured image can be gif or video/mp4) coded in them. You can already add a "gif" image as a featured image as part of WordPress. If you want video to play, you'd need to search the WordPress plugin repository or do a search on Google to find that type of feature.

AnitaKeymasterLocate the following code in your stylesheet. The 200px represents the left and right margins. Reduce that number.
.full-width-content .content { padding: 0 200px 50px; width: 100%; }

AnitaKeymasterIf you want the easy way to do it, you can get Design Palette Pro where you can change all of the text, plus a whole lot more without touching the CSS at all.
