David Decker created this great plugin for Prose – http://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-prose-extras/. Try it out. You will LOVE IT! It gives you that home page widgetized area without having to hack the code and it’s filled with a lot of other great things like how to move your header and nav menus around.
@blogjunkie that was kinda like my question/logic I posed on Twitter – using that custom date field to circumvent the actual date of the post. You techy’s are great!

Unlike some of the other themes you may have found while browsing the internet, Studiopress themes are not quite niche driven, which I think is what you are looking for. They provide a nice foundation to build your own though or you can contract a developer to assist you.

I don’t think you have all the pages, etc., linked in there correctly. I’ve done a few Buddypress installs and never had this problem. Did you create the Register/Sign Up pages? There are settings in there where you need to create the pages. If you need more help, I can help you offline. Send a message on my website via the contact box.
Wordpress removed the Link tab. Not sure why, but they did provide a plugin to replace it, The Link Manager – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/link-manager/.

Do you have that menu selected under the Genesis Settings? I see it in your code, but the code says – display: none;. I can take a look from here if you want. Just go to my website, send me a note using my contact box. I’ll send you some instructions so I can take a look.
Hi Kevin, I think you might want to pose this to Support rather than the community forum. We really don’t know why a theme has been coded a specific way and the SP folks rarely come here. You can certainly customize the theme the way you want by adding a widget area there to add an image, etc., and also customize the page-title.php file to work as you wish. Then you can use what you customize across your multisite.
