I’m having the same issue. my header image resizes but the header remains same height as full size site. in my functions.php I have this line

I’m trying to remove the front page requirement so that the only thing that shows up is the generate box and footer widgets. right now there is a page in the middle of these items that is displaying.

for example:
http://platform.twitter.com/widgets/tweet_button.1354761327.html
is part of the twitter button and it is downloaded twice where I have two identical tweet buttons above the post and below the post.
it seems like me there should be a way to have elements download only once no matter how many times they are loaded on the page. Any ideas?
