This is what I did:
In the @media only screen and (max-width: 800px)
add this
.nav-secondary {
display: block !important;
}This will keep the menu from disappearing below 800px.

asdwebMemberI'm not seeing where to remove the mobile menu from the footer.
Normally, I'm pretty savvy in finding what CSS to add or change to achieve desired effects, but this one has me stumped.
Amy Susan Design.com @AmySusanDesign
asdwebMemberIt was something in the css file - I managed to revert to a previously saved version and now it is working as it should.

asdwebMemberasdwebMemberTah Dah!
I thought I was pretty good with css, but you're awesome.
Thanks again.

asdwebMemberasdwebMemberOk - One more thing - after making these changes, I notice the dotted line from bottom of the last blog post. How can I remove it?
Amy Susan Design.com @AmySusanDesign
asdwebMemberCan I just say, "So flipping awesome!!"
So glad it isn't a .php thing...
Thanks to both of you.
Amy Susan Design.com @AmySusanDesign
asdwebMemberI tried that.
The thing is I created a .content background: #fff; so the entire thing is all white - client wants to break the welcome message from the blog post.
Pretty sure it's a php thing.
Just realized I didn't post the link to the site to show what I meant...

asdwebMemberAwesome. That worked! Thank you so much!
I've seen some sites with more than 3 media query sizes than are in most of SP's css files. Wondering if it's time to start putting more sizes in there given the more screen sizes that are available?
Thanks for the tip re: custom css before media query.
I think I figured out the full width content issue.
You rock.
Amy Susan Design.com @AmySusanDesign
asdwebMemberWell, that's an awesome plugin!
After some fooling around, I got it to work!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

asdwebMemberI created a div just for the featured widget and couldn't get that isolated from the content area even when I used something like below:
It even showed up within the content area event though it's instructed to show before the content.
/** Add new widget on homepage in Genesis theme | basicwp.com/add-new-widget-genesis-homepage/ */
genesis_register_sidebar( array(
'id' => 'homepage-feature',
'name' => __( 'Homepage Feature', 'custom' ),
'description' => __( 'This is Homepage feature section', 'custom' ),
) );/** Top Homepage feature section */
add_action( 'genesis_before_content', 'news_homepage_feature', 9 );
function news_homepage_feature() {
if ( is_home() && is_active_sidebar( 'homepage-feature' ) ) {
echo '<div class="homepage-feature">';
dynamic_sidebar( 'homepage-feature' );
echo '</div><!-- end .homepage-feature -->';
}
}Slightly frustrated.
Much appreciating your support.

asdwebMemberTHAT makes sense.
Now I need to find what tells me what I need to insert it below the navigation and above the content area...
but what doesn't make sense is the bottom widget area is wide and it's in the content area.

asdwebMemberasdwebMemberWhat is the coding to force a content_sidebar instead of full-width?
Amy Susan Design.com @AmySusanDesign
asdwebMemberIn your css file find:
.site-title {
}
and add:
background: url(http://yourimagelocation.com/image.jpg);and you'll probably need to add:
height: 10px;
adjust the number until it is at the height you desire.

asdwebMemberNice!
They both work well on a page or post. I'd like to find a way to insert a video in the top widget area of Parallax.
Any other suggestions?

asdwebMemberasdwebMemberit's here: http://pastebin.com/vsW5yq09
the only difference with is_category and in_category is that in_category puts "Leave a Comment (Edit)" at the top of the page.
I know what I want can be done. I'm about ready to scrap this theme and move to one that already has this feature, (i.e. Executive) or port over the single-portfolio.php and scrap the existing page_portfolio.php.
Amy Susan Design.com @AmySusanDesign
asdwebMemberI've tried is_category and in_category. It still removes the date + author name from ALL posts.
