Try this, add it to the bottom of your stylesheet where that query already exists, so in other words place #text-2 and its padding inside that query.:
@media only screen and (max-width: 1023px) { #text-2 { padding-top: 140px; } }
March 11, 2016 at 7:10 pm in reply to: Trying to display Genesis Featured Posts horizontally #181242Ben SiegfriedMemberThe h2 underneath the images was 24px but it was breaking a new line on the third widget making its overall height larger than the other two, so I decreased the h2 down to 20px. Either keep it at 20px or shorten that header title.
Try this:
/*---line 799 in your stylesheet. I added the width and the float. Depending on what screenwidth you want these to break to become vertical again, say 800px, you would make the width 100%.---*/
.featured-content .entry { margin-bottom: 20px; padding: 0 0 24px; width: 33.33%; float: left; } /*---Line 806 in your stylesheet. The header title I reduced in font size---*/ .featured-content .entry-title { font-size: 20px; line-height: 1.2; }
@media only screen and (max-width: 800px) { .featured-content .entry { width: 100%; } }
March 11, 2016 at 6:50 pm in reply to: Parallax Pro – Raise Featured Section 1 photo up behind top menu #181241Ben SiegfriedMemberChange the background-color from (0, 0, 0, 0) to #fff
.site-header { background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); left: 0; position: fixed; top: 0; width: 100%; z-index: 999; }
To (or whatever color you want it to be) >
.site-header { background-color: #fff; left: 0; position: fixed; top: 0; width: 100%; z-index: 999; }
March 11, 2016 at 3:19 pm in reply to: Change front-page backstretch image for mobile width > Digital Pro #181232Ben SiegfriedMemberSo I'm trying the if/else statement below and the desktop backstretch image is working but the image set for mobile (800px) is not coming in. The console is giving a 404 (Not Found) for the mobile image.
jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
if (window.matchMedia("(max-width: 800px)").matches) {
// phone
$(".front-page-1").backstretch(["/images/americas-tribute-to-paris-mobile.png"]);} else {
//tab or desktop
$(".front-page-1").backstretch([BackStretchImg.src]);}
});
March 11, 2016 at 2:49 pm in reply to: Change front-page backstretch image for mobile width > Digital Pro #181228Ben SiegfriedMemberActually, here's the jquery for the backstretch from backstretch.set . js:
jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $(".front-page-1").backstretch([BackStretchImg.src]); });
I've been trying a few different ways at these pages to no avail.

March 9, 2016 at 11:47 pm in reply to: Change front-page backstretch image for mobile width > Digital Pro #181097Ben SiegfriedMemberHere's the link, the site wasn't live when I made the post. For the time being I have changed opacity on the section .wrap with rgba at mobile size so you can read the text.
Ben SiegfriedMemberSweet, I haven't seen that feature as a part of any of the Studiopress themes, yep, it disabled the blog on the front-page!
Thanks for finding that! I guess it pays to read every word of the theme setup huh?
Ben SiegfriedMemberChristoph thanks for replying, yes I had.
I came across a tutorial for adding a retina logo that works for Streamline-Pro and would also work for probably most of the other child themes.
Go Here > Add Retin Logo Genesis
Ben SiegfriedMemberPlease add the search form at the top of every forum category. It's annoying to have to click the home button each time you do a search. The search field should be persistent at the top no matter what area of the forum you are in. It's just good UX.
Ben SiegfriedMemberThank you Victor, that's what I've done before.
It seems like something like this much like the column classes could be added by studiopress. So my question is in that context, not in the context of you can add them yourself. In my opinion visibility classes are something that should be a part of any responsive child theme nowadays.

February 2, 2015 at 10:56 pm in reply to: Remove :active state from main menu item when on homepage #139482Ben SiegfriedMemberOh thank you so much for this! I did not try ".home"
background-color: none;
did not work.This is what actually works to get it all to behave as a normal menu item:
.home .genesis-nav-menu li a:hover { background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.1); } .home .genesis-nav-menu .current-menu-item > a { background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); }
Ben SiegfriedMemberGot it, needed to add ",1" here >
add_action( 'genesis_before_footer', 'nabm_add_page_content', 1 );
and it moved up above the the footer widgets area.Ben SiegfriedMemberWell I figured out how to get it on the page I want but it wound up between the the footer widget area and the footer.
How do I get it above the footer widget area but below site-inner?
I used this in functions.php:
//* Add the home-widget-5 widget in the portfolio page - HTML5 add_action( 'genesis_before_footer', 'nabm_add_page_content' ); function nabm_add_page_content() { if ( is_page('789') ) genesis_widget_area ('home-widgets-5', array( 'before' => '<div class="home-widgets-5"><div class="wrap">', 'after' => '</div></div>', ) ); }
Ben SiegfriedMemberI'm not sure the above jQuery in the above post is close to the answer. I did try working in onclick with the menu id.
Anyhow, here a link to the dev site: The dev site
I have what I want happening when you click Services in the primary menu (scrollTo or localScroll is already there) but the :visited state is not desirable.
How would I get the Services menu item to not have the :visited state when on the homepage but have it trigger the target of #featured-post-2, and still have it land on #featured-post-2 when clicking on Services menu item from any other page of the site?
Ben SiegfriedMemberCentric-pro has scrollTo in its js directory.
Ben SiegfriedMemberIn the Centric theme I am working on Brad Dalton's Code for adding a toggle widget area did not put the widget area right after the header because the home featured widget had a higher priority. By simply adding
, 1
at the end of the add_action it caused it to move up to be positioned below the header. The home featured widget was also given a priority of 2.Ben SiegfriedMemberThanks Brad!
The CSS is not the issue. The issue is that the add_action, 'genesis_after_header' is not appearing directly after the header. It is appearing two divs below that. In Chrome Dev tools I can move that div and it works great, but that's Chrome dev tools showing me where it needs to go.
Ben SiegfriedMemberBen SiegfriedMemberBrad I got the code from your post today and adapted it to Centric.
The theme is currently in local development.
