I'm not sure full site block themes are the future of WordPress.

Rick RottmanParticipantFirst things first, if you are using WP Rocket or another plugin to improve the website's performance, clear the cache. Your browser might be looking at a cached version of the stylesheet. If you're using Google Fonts, make sure you are importing the font-weight you are trying to use. As far as the size goes (px) you need to look into the CSS with Inspector and find why the size you're specifying is not being used. If your modification shows with a line drawn through it, it indicates another CSS rule is taking priority. Any time my custom CSS is not being recognized, I add !important at the end of my mod. If that fixes it, I then look for what conflicting CSS is taking priority.
Also, when making changes to the stylesheet, I always use Simple CSS. It's a plugin that allows you to make changes to the styling without actually toughing your theme's stylesheet.

Rick RottmanParticipantThat didn't work either, other than making the h1 really small.
The problem has to do with the massive background images. Including them makes the theme not display properly on phones and tablets. When I remove the background images in css, the page loads fine on every device across the board. When I add them back, it will not display properly.

I used a plugin called Database Peek., I did a search in wp_options for anything with the word "Genesis" in it and then deleted it in phpMyAdmin.
I then reinstalled Genesis. I was able to configure it to show full posts. I don't know why it wasn't changing, but I'm assuming it has something to do with the database.

The problem doesn't happen when I switch to another theme. It only happens with Genesis. It didn't use to be the case. I switched to excerpts and then tried to switch back. No matter what I select, it wont show full posts.
