I ran into this same issue on a recent install today.
NOTE: Prose 1.9.2 does not incorporate the “Use text/logo” option.

    This is what I did…
    1. In Genesis > Design Settings > Go to the last set of options > General Settings
    2. Uncheck “Minify CSS?” & SAVE SETTINGS
*For some reason I have found over several installs of Prose that Minifying the CSS file makes it un-editable and therefore does not appear to store any changes made, so I always start here when editing Prose.
**I typically leave this unchecked until I am finished with any given design session, then Minify when I’m completely finished.
    3. Now go to Appearance > Header and uncheck “Show Header Text” & SAVE SETTINGS

That should do it… Good Luck!

Just looked at your site Amy and saw that your header appears to be loading at the correct size now.
Did a quick inspect element and found the minified.css.2 styles were the dominant style.

I had minify css disabled on my site due to prior issues with custom code not working unless minify was disabled.

A simple test – enable minify css – resave my settings and voila! … the header is loading correctly.

Ahh, the joys of GSI [Geek Scene Investigation]

I’m having the same issue…I’ve gone through every header style element testing custom code options to get it back to 960×270 – no luck.
Lots of things broken after my 1.9.1 upgrade yesterday.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

The piece Im struggling with at the moment is getting the full width template to engage.
Ive specified it in the page layout settings, but the sidebar is still showing when I view the forum.

I know this may be a bbPress setting and this isnt bbPress support, but I cant find it (figure it out) anywhere.

    (a) Adding the code snippet you referenced to Genesis  > Custom Code > Custom Functions
    Should make the change site-wide.

    (b) To change the anchor text of the link, make this alteration:

    Where you see this:
    > Read More…</a>

Change it to the text you want:

You can also use native code inspector in FireFox if you dont want to install another extension.

    1. Right click on the element you want to see the code for.
    2. Select “Inspect Element”
    3. Click the “markup Panel” icon to view the page HTML
(the fourth icon from the left in the dark toolbar)
    4. Click the “Style” button to view the CSS markup
(the last icon on the right in the dark toolbar)
