That's what I thought. Thanks!
October 28, 2016 at 10:45 am in reply to: Ambiance Pro: How to remove dates from the post panels on the home page? #195441[email protected]ParticipantNo, it doesn't use any widgets other than Welcome Message and After Entry.
[email protected]ParticipantTheir are several posts that semi-solve your issue #1 but unfortunately, it also disables the "3 bar icon" when viewed on mobile devices. Is there any workaround for this? It's clear that a lot of people hate this weird mobile icon on the desktop but certainly do want it (where it belongs) on mobile.
October 26, 2016 at 3:51 am in reply to: How to remove responsive-menu-icon from Ambiance Pro Theme? #195332[email protected]ParticipantI would also be interested in a solution for this as well. I'd like to use the theme but a responsive menu button on a desktop view is a bit odd.
June 22, 2016 at 8:04 am in reply to: Getting Whitespace pro header image flush to left side? #188019[email protected]ParticipantOk, I found it. For anyone else who's wondering, it's at lien 1535 in style.css
.site-header {
padding-left: 40px;
padding-right: 40px;
}June 22, 2016 at 7:54 am in reply to: Getting Whitespace pro header image flush to left side? #188017[email protected]ParticipantMaybe this link will work: http://67.222.24.22/~natlgrd/
[email protected]ParticipantYes, I already know how to add items to the primary menu. What I am trying to figure out is how to display 3 tabs at the top of the post that shows up once you click on that menu item: ie. current news - press archive - live q&a
[email protected]ParticipantFound the answer thanks to Support. For anyone else who wants the home page to display as sidebar/content/sidebar you must replace the code in front-page.php with the following:
//* Force sidebar-content-sidebar layout setting
add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_sidebar_content_sidebar' );Now it works! Not exactly "out of the box" but this tweak should do it.
[email protected]ParticipantI want three columns to appear on the home page. They do appear everywhere except for the home page, as per the default settings.
[email protected]ParticipantIt works fine until I start adding featured post widgets. Once I add even one widget, the layout reverts to content/sidebar. If I remove the widget, it goes back to sidebar/widget/sidebar
[email protected]ParticipantThanks. Will do!
[email protected]ParticipantAny ideas on why the sidebar/content/sidebar options don't work on the home page?
[email protected]ParticipantI just started work on a site with the intent to have two sidebars on the home page using Daily Dish. I set the default theme settings for sidebar/content/sidebar and the home page looked ok. Once I started adding the home page widgets, I lost the left sidebar though. Any thoughts on how to get it back? Thanks.
[email protected]ParticipantOk, such as Daily Dish, right?
[email protected]ParticipantThanks. I'll give it a try!
[email protected]ParticipantI'm all set now Ben, but thanks anyway. I'll keep you in mind in case anything else comes up though!
[email protected]ParticipantThanks again Brad. Really appreciate your help!
[email protected]ParticipantOops...just found it in the actual widget and removed By [post_author_posts_link] there. Working now.
[email protected]ParticipantI found that the solution was in the css file not home.php. I removed the background color from .home-top-left and that seemed to fix the issue.
[email protected]ParticipantI deactivated wp-cycle for the same reasons and installed and activated a Genesis Slider. However, I still have a white box in the top left of my home page where wp-cycle used to be. Tried removing the code from home.php but I get an error message. Maybe I'm taking out too much code...or not enough?
<div class="home-top-left">
<?php if (!dynamic_sidebar('Home Top Left')) : ?>
<div class="widget">
<?php if( function_exists('wp_cycle') ) : ?>
<?php wp_cycle(); ?>
<?php endif; ?>
</div>
<?php endif; ?>
</div><!-- end .home-top-left --> -
