Whoo! Sorry I forgot to check back in here.
So, your buttons *are* styled according to the CSS you dropped in. What are you wanting to look differently?
Were you wanting the secondary style of buttons from that tutorial (black boxes w/ text)?

cdilsParticipantThe first thing to try is visiting your Settings > Permalinks page from your dashboard. You don't have to make any changes - just hit the page.
If that doesn't work... Post a code snippet of how the custom post type is registered. Did you change the post type name or just the slug?

cdilsParticipantIf you're in your WordPress admin dashboard and go to the Appearance menu, Background, do you see a color setting there? That's where you need to change it, not in your style.css. 🙂

cdilsParticipantHi,
I'm guessing it's using a fixed position: absolute in the CSS to make that happen. You might check the WordPress plugin repository for a solution.

Carrie

cdilsParticipantAh! Looking at your CSS, this is overriding your settings:
body.custom-background {
background-color: #FFFFFF;
}That bit of code is coming from Appearance > Background. Try modifying your background color and see if it fixes it for ya?

Carrie

cdilsParticipantHeya,
I see no one responded to this. If you're curious still, you might post to twitter using #genesiswp or post to the Genesis group on Google+. Those are more informal Genesis communities and might get more response?
Cheers,
Carrie

cdilsParticipantHi there,
I realize this is an older question. If you still need help, look at page-title.php to change your page titles.

cdilsParticipantHi Posey,
Under Appearance > Background you can change your body background color to #f5fffa. Does that get the effect you're wanting?

cdilsParticipantHi,
If you go to your tag/category and click edit, tou can hard code an
<img>
url into your your archive description area.The other option would be to use a plugin like this:

cdilsParticipantHi Elaine,
I see it's been awhile since you posted. Just checking to see if you still need help with this issue?
Honestly, if the featured posts are changing out on a regular basis, this would be easier to hard-code in the form of a text widget than customizing the plugin. 🙂

Carrie
