How do I find where the responsive section is that defines that width? Or how do I override for the responsive section this width of 600px (make it a smaller width, reduce the font size…?).

Wanted to add that an example of a login screen that is not associated with the WordPress editor (they said) is his website’s login link at the top right:

Thank you I did a Redirect Plugin to the Home screen and that worked!!
However… is this a pretty common method of having an intranet with a subsite setup and using these types of plugins? Client is asking me this as well as they had another site with a membership that was not associated at all with WordPress.
I had setup a few users with Subscriber status, disabled the Toolbar for each of those. It seems to work okay as a method for the Intranet users but would like some feedback. Outside of this is paid memberships right?

Okay thank you for that feedback. I will post again to see if this is how others customize a subsite… only because they may not look at the post since its been responded to. Just want to be sure before I install this. Thank you for your help!February 5, 2013 at 8:39 am in reply to: Multisite: Have subsites but one of which I want unique CSS for #18205
I have actually never used Jetpack. I assume I could install it and then just activate it for this one subsite right? I wonder if this is the only solution to this for getting unique CSS for just one subsite?
Okay I will check those 2 out… right now I just found All In One Event Calendar but I can only publish the actual calendar on a separate page, not on the home page widgeted area. The only widget is the upcoming events which just lists them out. But they want a calendar actually to be on the home page too.
So thanks for sharing those others will see if they can display the calendar in a widget area.

Oh wow thank you! This is a Multisite… so I could create the new site and then yes use the More Privacy Options plugin.
I will DEFINITELY check this out.
Thank you so much.

Well the theme their website is on is Education… they didn’t want to pay for another website for their intranet.
I don’t know about Premise…I will look that up. I’m not sure though how it would work with them wanting their own blog for their Intranet on this new “page”… while at the same time having their Corporate Blog going on (as it is now in the Education theme).
Yes they were indeed wanting a calendar plugin (like Google Calendar).
I just don’t know if you can truly have an Intranet site built on the same theme/installation as their corporate main website.

Okay thank you for that feedback. I think what this client wants to have accomplished is just not possible. I will open up a new topic because I REALLY need feedback if it even is.
Thank you SoZo!

Oh okay I didn’t know the Premise was a plugin so I will check that out. Sounds like a good alternative solution to Wishlist too. I really appreciate your feedback thank you!!January 3, 2013 at 6:33 pm in reply to: How to go about creating an employee "Member Area"… #9322
Also is the Wishlist plugin still the way to go for a membership site?
Thanks!January 3, 2013 at 6:24 pm in reply to: How to go about creating an employee "Member Area"… #9319
Well the employee information would be a member area… so I assume that you all agree to have a separate WordPress website built (maybe on a subdomain) for the employees of the company to be able to login to and see the owner’s blog posts, event calendar, etc.
I will though check out the Highrise by 37 Signals.
Thanks for the feedback!
I’ve taken a brief look at Yoast… looks like a lot of “guidance” with the settings… which could be helpful!
Okay then Yoast it is…thank you for writing back, appreciate it!

Can you please explain why this is the case that it shouldn’t be ran with ‘www’… yes I can just edit the links in the text widgets but I just would like to know why it can’t retain ‘www’ in the URL. Did I setup something wrong?
