    Thank you both for following up with me.  I never was able to find the “header” option under Appearance with Eleven40. I added some code to the CSS on the advice of Anitac and that worked for Eleven40. I have now switched to the Streamline theme and the same code worked for my logo.

    Thank you Anitac,

    I used your advice to install a logo for the Streamline theme at AfricanChicago.com and it worked there as well.

    Thank you Braddalton,

    My theme, Eleven40 does not have a “header” option under appearance.  I have reached the limits of my  CSS knowledge  but I think I have to go that route for now.
