i understand your point of view and i already know these rules.
But in accessibility if there is no information on a picture, we must put an empty "alt" (alt="").
If you don't put any "alt", the screen reader will tell the name of the file
when we have a picture, there are two solutions
first solution : there is no information in the picture
- if possible, you put it in css
- if not possible to put it in css, you put an empty "alt"second solution:
there is an information in the picture : we must put it in the "alt".Blind people alerady have many difficulties to navigate on the web. No need to add useless informations.
It is the same in a slow connection situation. We don't need to laod useless informations too.For SEO : i agree you can improve your ranking, using "alt". But, it won't be very important for google. Google wants a perfect index and so gives a little value to "alt" images. It will be more interesting to choose a good "alt" for disable people than a "alt" for seo.
So? How can i have an empty "alt"?

Would be interesting to include accessibility basis to your framework.
Can we follow discussion in pv?

EbullitionMemberty for your answer
and sorry for my late answer 😉accessibility is very important for me and is a big part of my work.
It will be difficult to explain in english how much accessibility is important in web business. It is useful for everybody
for disable people of course
for people who do not have a normal environnement (no keyboard, no mousse for ex)
for new technology (ipad, iphone)for exemple : the responsive is used in accessbility for a long time because we need to resize the characters (bigger or small) for partially-sighted person.
Tesco in 2001 (e-commerce plateform in usa) created a page for disable people. the number of commands increased of 700 000 by week in december...(there was disable people, but senior too and people who wanted an ergonomic website).
For ranking, it is very good too, because a screen reader works as googlebot.
And i have many many others exemple.
Maybe you could make some effort. i could help you. i'm an expert in accessibility.

EbullitionMemberthank you for your answer.
I'm working a lot in web accessibility. I need to do a website and i'm not a good developer. so i would like to have a theme as possible accessible.
You can read the reuqirement in the WCAG 2.0 (from USA) or accessiweb (in france)ty for your help

EbullitionMemberhi
sorry, i haven't understand very well your answer about child theme.
you should put on your homepage this information : "we do not deliver psd files" (in bold, 30px, pink on black, in a circle next to a title level 2.)
if i had known that there is no psd files, i would have never subsribe to your pro solution...
Most expensive doesn't mean best quality, one more time....
(yes, i'm not happy at all)ced

i'm surprsed, because your pro version is expensive.
Do you have at least the PSD for the child themes???
