    Learning lesson.  Note every single check mark you change on a production site.

    Infinite SEO had a check box to auto insert links on posts pages and contact forms; hence why I was getting these sudden URL’s,

    Couldn’t find them in the php nor in the posts.

    Problem solved.

    Thanks for the reply Brad.  I was hoping to have my mirror site on the server, and also create a development site for the next rev. on the web.  It appears that installing locally is the preferred method.  I can see the benefit of a local mirror for updates to the existing site, but when you have a client that wants to see progress on your next rev. of the site, a web based copy makes sense.

    Diane-  While I see how you inspected my html page (main) and can find your h2 reference to my 3 columns of content on my main page,  I can honestly say I do not know how I did that.  I created 3 separate pages in WP.  I then assigned them to the Genesis – Featured Page option from the widget page and placed them in Home — Top.

    My pages did have
    <span style=”color: #ffffff; font-weight: bold; font-family: calibri, garamond,; font-size: 25px;”>Collaborating</span>

    I have since changed them to

    <span style=”font-size: 20px;”>Collaborating</span>
    <ul>

    Does this make it an h2 ?

    I am showing my lack of expertise now, while I’ve made good progress with the site,  I obviously did something wrong and am at a loss of how to correct it.

    –My original issue , is why I can’t adjust the content in the slider (change font, style, bold , and line elements) has morphed into , a concern that I have my css and html setup incorrectly and I have no idea how it occured.

    — Could it be the way the theme was installed ?  I was unable to unzip the blank executive theme into WP and had to manually build the site instead of working with the base theme?

    Thanks for your help.

    Diane-  My headline words are

    Stewardship

    Calming

    Leadership.. Is that what you are looking for ?

    I show in the html code that h2  has my text.

    I am using the post  option to send my text to the slider.

    I don’t see what you see regarding the collaborate in the code.

    thanks

    Diane-   I am not quite sure what you mean by see title and my code headline issue.

    The text is coming through on the slider, but no formatting and changing fonts in

    #content #genesis-responsive-slider h2 a

    is not having an affect.   My code already contains

    #content #genesis-responsive-slider h2 a {
    color: #fff;
    font-size: 20px;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-transform: uppercase;

    I cannot get the slider text headers to be on their own line in the slider and bold

    I tried following the information in this thread but it didn’t help.

    Thanks for trying to help I am stuck.

    Sozo- I do not know how I missed that, probably had something else in that Header Right Sidebar.  That put my social widgets above my menu.  (Note to self, now how to figure out how to right align them; they are all floating left).

    Thanks for your help

    Brad- I tried that option before with the listed ID’s.  The common thread I noticed is whenever I create another post, my slider gets all messed up.  The images are almost identical with each being a around 276×200.

    Thanks

    Sozo-  They were not; I have since coded them as sticky, created my new post I needed and suddenly my slider that I said has 3 slides has jumped to 4 and again the same issue.  Even though I said use Slider category and include 1,2,3 tags.  The newest post shows up as a compressed image.

    I have since did  a ‘view post’  and have the following error

    Filed Under: Slider Tagged With: 2

    Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ” not found or invalid function name in /home/tanden6/public_html/dir/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 173

    Any idea what this means Master Jedi?  I am still a young padowan :-)

    Sozo- they are not in ‘Slider’ category.  I tried uncategorized, sub.category1.1, etc.  What I notice is these new posts show up on the top of the list of posts and they aren’t even in alpha order.  It then messes with the slider.

    My slider settings are

    type of content = posts

    all taxnomies and terms ( I have no idea what this means), but it sounds painful.

    Include by Taxonomy ID  = Slider

    By Post ID just says select  with no entries for list

    # of slides = 3

    post offset = 0

    order by ID (I have sliders tagged 1,2,3)

    Thanks

    Ok – after going through Genesis/SEO Settings I found the checks and now have my title working.  Thanks for the help.

    Jen- Using the Menu Title option from the child theme is not working.  The only way I got my Font title to work was from Header Right/Text.

    Where would I put this type of code to call to the CSS ?

    <span style=”color: #ffffff; font-weight: bold; text-align:left;font-family: calibri, garamond, serif; font-size: 75px;”>T A N D E N</span>

    Thanks

    Jen-  I am unsure where you mean Settings/General.   I did have the Title listed under Exec/Child/Site-Title-Tagline but I couldn’t get it to do what I wanted.  It is blank now.

    Susan- Your changes were just font size and color. It didn’t appear to change the

    #ffffff  T A N D E N  title I am trying to move.

    My code was in the Text Option widget dragged to Header Right.

    After I mod’d the code, I saw

    below and changed it to..

    #header .widget-area {
    float: left;
    width: 125%;

    Susan- You got me onto something bec. then I grabbed firebug for Firefox and found the extra blue space and changed

    height (it was 100px)

    .header-image #title a {
    display: block;
    float: left;
    height: 10px;

    I now have the Title where I want. Of course the image is another thing.  All in good time.

    … And to think two weeks ago I didn’t even understand what Firebug was..

    Thanks for the quick response. You helped me find it and check another item on my todo list.

    If I can’t figure out the image issue, I’ll post, but trying to search/learn/do  before I seek out your excellent help.

    Mike

    consider this resolved…

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
