Camping offers us a great way to spend a vacation, or just getting a weekend away from it all. Relaxing in the tranquility of nature and learning to get on without modern conveniences is an experience everyone should try at least once! Keep reading for some wonderful advice on how you can make the most of your camping trip. Pick out your sleeping bag according to what season it is. Don't take a heavy sleeping bag out in the summer, it could make you sweat and be uncomfortable all night long. Conversely, if you bring a light-weight sleeping bag to a winter camping trip, you can be extremely uncomfortable the entire time. Hypothermia can be experienced, as well. Bring enough food and snack items to last you throughout the whole trip. You don't want to spend your time going to get food every meal, enjoy yourself while you are camping. Bring cereal, hot dogs, and all of your other favorite food items that will fuel you throughout your trip. Avoid any wildlife you may come into contact with. Bears have become a fairly large problem with campers. In some parks they have been known to rip open the trunk of a car to gain access to food. Raccoons are also a big problem in many campgrounds. Not only are they smart and can gain access to your food supplies easily, but they can carry disease as well. Ask a park ranger or a tour guide to let you know about all the places to check out while you are camping. This is a good idea so that you know you are getting the most out of your camping experience, you don't want to take a camping trip and miss out on a fun experience. By doing some planning and some research, you can take an ordinary camping trip and turn it into something truly special. Take the time to use these tips to plan your next family camping trip and everyone will have a great time. Create the memories that last a lifetime this year! Prepper
