Thanks Anitac- works with your suggestion.
Silly me I was assuming it would function like the other text widgets on the theme ( Home middle, etc ) where one did not have to manually put the html tags in.
Unless I'm missing something here seems somewhat worthless and confusing to the user, to have the checkbox on the footer widgets for paragraphing, or to make the footer widget box behave differently than the others on the theme.Fortunately not a big deal to fix, but yet another example of something that just doesn't seem like it was done correctly in the first place.
All set now , thanks again for the Help
fotodog13ParticipantBrilliant ! As I started reading this I started saying to myself - why didn't I think of that- thanks so much- will try this, Ryan might hit you up with some code tweaking if I can with what you posted here.
Thanks again guys- this is much more than I was hoping for

fotodog13ParticipantHey Brad
Thanks this is great- works perfect- fyi- not using the slideshow on the theme yet -waiting for stuff to come that the client is suppose to send to me- does that sound familiar- thats why I just put a photo in the home left area.
thanks so much for sending me the code - it was a huge help - looking forward to the day when I can play all the help I get in the forums forward to someone else-
best

fotodog13ParticipantHi Brad,
So know just enough to get by here- following the tutorials in studio press on hooks. Ideally I want to place a widget that goes above the current home page top left and right widgets ( where the slide show appears on the home page. ) that goes all the way across.I want that widget to appear all the time on the home page.- just adding another widget area
Hope that explains it better - thanks for the reply- still have no luck getting this to work

fotodog13ParticipantHey Brad,
Thanks for the reply. I usually work in the same fashion you are mentioning above, in this instance things got screwed up when the client uploaded something and got poking around. They saw that I had the " do not let the search engines index the site" checked off and the site got indexed on the temporary build that was not in the root.
The site has no broken links the only problem I have found is that the temp build page is coming up in the search returns.
I thought I might be able to solve this by using redirection plugin, or creating a 301 redirect with a plugin but that didn't do it, so looks like I need to talk to the host about the .htaccess code file.fotodog13Participanthmmm
thanks ramseyp- think I might have a go at this- seems like it might be useful to others besides me if I can get it to work like I hope- Might be a tad bit above my skills but worth a try.
If this thread stays open I will post the results here if I am successful
fotodog13ParticipantThanks Wes-

fotodog13ParticipantThanks again Wes,

fotodog13Participantsuper will try it -thanks will post back here -moderator please leave this open
fotodog13ParticipantHey weslinda
so would that be something like this on the
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px)
min-height:50px!important ;
and leave the rest of the css alone ?
Is there a way to check this using firebug on an i=phone" or just the studiopress/responsive ? to test it
fotodog13Participantfotodog13ParticipantHi Peter,
Thanks for the reply - got it to do what I was hoping for 🙂
