Andrea, you are AWESOME!! Thanks so much for showing me how to do this. In case someone else is wondering how to do this, the following is what I changed it to:
[post_comments zero="Leave A Comment" one= "1 Comment · Add A Comment" more="% Comments · Add A Comment"]
As far as I can tell, that is working. On a post with no comments "Leave A Comment" is showing and on a post with comments, "Add A Comment" is showing.
THANKS so much.
glbuzzMemberThanks, again. Ok Now it is saying "2 Comments - No Comments" Should I change that "No Comments" in the code to "Leave A Comment" I just tried a test post (without actually publishing it) and the "Leave A Comment" is gone. So your code works when there are comments but if there aren't any comments, "Leave A Comment" is no longer showing.
glbuzzMemberAndrea, thanks for the quick answer but I still don't know exactly what I need to put in Simple Edits (which I am already using).
I currently have it like this:
[post_date] By [post_author_posts_link] [post_edit][post_comments]Can you please tell me what I need to change to make the "Leave A Comment" stay even after comments are received. I am confused by the shortcodes. Thanks again.
glbuzzMemberI'm also using the Jane theme and show the full posts on my site. I have it set to "Display Post Content". I just went in and set it to "Display Excerpt" and like on your site, it showed excerpts but as soon as I changed it back to "Display Post Content", it again shows the entire post. It sounds like you have already tried that though so not sure why yours is not working the same way. Are you remembering to "Save" when you change to "Display Post Content"?
Sorry, that I can't be more help but you are definitely in the right place to change what you are wanting to change.
Good luck.
Gladys
http://www.moosetique.comglbuzzMemberWhen you said "embed", I did a search and found this: http://codex.wordpress.org/Embeds It is so easy once you search for the right thing. Thanks for your help, SoZo. Sometimes it is just a matter of knowing the right word to search with and I just wasn't thinking about "embedding" the vid. Thanks again.
glbuzzMemberI have tried to add it using the media button and also tried by using just the link tool. Lifestyle says that it has video capabilities and shows it on the theme demo.
