Thanks Marco.
I didn’t know that I had mistakenly ”ticked” the option when I recently made some changes to the settings.
Question :
Inaddition, what would you advice about the options I choose as shown below. I would appreciate your comment and advice.

Could you recommend a good example of such widgets?
@GaryJ thanks.
I have cheked the links. I am a non-techie guy and it looks complicated for me to set the custom post up. Won’t it be ok if I install “Genesis Featured Widget Amlified” to be able to occasionally hide some posts that I might not want on the home page?

I have a related security question. When I see a comment that looks like a spam. Should I click, “spam” button or the “trash” button?
If I am not 100% that a comment is a spam or not. Is there a security risk if I approve the comment?
And would you recommend that I install wordfencesecurity plugin?

April 25, 2013 at 10:04 am in reply to: I Installed a plugin about 2 yr ago but it exist no longer in wp database #37667Thanks. I now understand.
I would also want to know if both “Google Analyticator” that I had been using and “Site Stat” in jetpack by wordpress which I recently installed have same function.
If so, wouldn’t it be a good idea to delette the Google Analyticator?
April 25, 2013 at 1:49 am in reply to: I Installed a plugin about 2 yr ago but it exist no longer in wp database #375531. I am a non-techie guy, please is there any difference in “backingup files” and “backing up only content” (post and pages) ?
2. I want to consider deletting it because I expect to see the plugin in “WordPress plugin repository” but, it was not found. And eventhough I still manage to find the name via wordpress.org, it takes me to this link http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/simple-twitter-connect which when I clicked on the download page, it says the page cannot be found. So, I am confused if the plugin is still being maintaned, otherwise so that I can delette it from my plugin list.
I would appreciate it if you could click on the link to see what I am trying to explain.
April 24, 2013 at 4:31 pm in reply to: I Installed a plugin about 2 yr ago but it exist no longer in wp database #37475you said “You could also use the export tool in WordPress but this will only backup your content and not plugin settings etc.”
1. What do you mean by only backup your content? Do you mean only my post and pages?
2. Also when I checked “Simple Twitter Connect” plugin on the WordPress plugin repository, I couldn’t find it when I used the “search plugin search box” but, I did find it in the “search wodpress .org” Should I delette this plugin from my plugin list?
I don’t get you very clearly.
1. GFWA is a wordpress plugin that is found in the wp plugin repository. What do you mean by “A plugin like that is definitely outside the normal realm of WordPress and widgets” ?
2. What do you mean by “Zoninator plugin” in
I hope to hear from you.
April 22, 2013 at 2:09 pm in reply to: I Installed a plugin about 2 yr ago but it exist no longer in wp database #36948Thanks. You said that you use : phpMyAdmin Export function
1. How can I find this? Is it by going to Dashboard>Tools>Export ?
2. And if I use this, will it back up everything necessary that the plugin will do?

Thanks. You are right. I mistakenly mentioned Meta description instead of Excerpt.
But, I dont know why the Excerpt is not showing on the last post unlike the ealier posts. I have not changed any settings in : Widget>Genesis featured page> show content linit>limit content to 315 and it has always been working with this setting until the last post where the Excerpt is not showing on the featured post.
Do you have any idea?
April 21, 2013 at 3:15 am in reply to: I Installed a plugin about 2 yr ago but it exist no longer in wp database #36659@ braddalton. Thanks for replying. Yes, it is no longer found in the official wp plugin repository.
1. Could you please confirm, may be I didn’t check very well.
The plugin is “wordpress database backup” by Austin Matzko
2. And do you have an idea to an alternative?
I want to consider “BackUpWordPress” by Human Made Limited
Thanks.
