Hi John,
Sure it is. Remove the following from your home.php file:
add_action('genesis_post_content', 'the_excerpt');
Let me know how that works out for you.
Take care,

Hard Boiled GregMemberHi,
An intensive tutoring session might be tough to squeeze into a forum post, but if could share what it is you would like to accomplish on those pages, perhaps I can get you started in the right direction. 🙂

Hard Boiled GregMemberAre you using both the primary and secondary navigation menus already? If not, you could move the secondary menu to the footer with (untested):
// Reposition the secondary navigation menu to footer remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_subnav' ); add_action( 'genesis_footer', 'genesis_do_subnav' );
Let me know if that does the trick for you.

Hard Boiled GregMemberI tryed to ad the phonenumber as a text widget next to it, but it does not fit.
I'm sorry, I thought that mean you wanted them side by side.
Remove the CSS code pasted earlier and give your phone number a class. Â Then you can style the text to align right in your stylesheet.

Hard Boiled GregMemberHard Boiled GregMemberHi,
I'm not sure what you mean by "framed one" but just post the code above in your theme's stylesheet without the
css and /css
(the square bracket stuff).And don't paste it into your header/footer script area.

Hard Boiled GregMemberHi Johanna,
You can style that widget directly by adding:
#text-4 { float: right; }
to your style sheet.
Also, in the header widget area, put that widget with the phone number before/above the menu widget. It should look the way you want now. Let me know if it doesn't.

Hard Boiled GregMemberHi Johanna,
Go ahead and add the phone number to a text widget in the header area below the WordPress menu widget. I'll then help you with the CSS to fit them beside each other.

Is that all? Where and what is the code that is hooking those sidebars after the content?
Thanks,

Did you place them in the correct order where you set them to appear in your functions.php file? If you share the code you used to display them, perhaps I can be of more assistance.

February 26, 2013 at 2:02 pm in reply to: inline alignment of two widget in header right area #22954Hard Boiled GregMemberHi centologix,
Add both the custom menu widget and the widget containing your social links to the header widget area. To get them on the same line you may have to adjust some widths and display properties in your CSS file. If you post a link to your site, I can help you with the exact code.

Hard Boiled GregMemberHello Aaron,
I just checked on my Outreach install and it IS available (I had to tick the check box under "Screen Options" first. This is on the post edit screen.
Excerpts are not enabled on "pages" in case that is where you are looking.

Hard Boiled GregMemberHi Johanna,
Anything's possible 🙂 All of the elements you are mentioning can be re-sized in your CSS file. What can fit is only limited by the width of the page (and that can be re-sized too!)
If you would like to post a link to your site, perhaps I can help you with some specific CSS code to achieve the final look you are after.
Take care,

Hard Boiled GregMemberAdding:
clear: none;
to #header .genesis-nav-menu
resolves this.

Hard Boiled GregMemberI have set up a demo site that can be visited to see the problem and review the CSS. No plugins are active.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

It looks the same to me in both Chrome and FF (Win7). What are you seeing in Chrome that appears off?
