Hi Stuart,
It works when I click on it. Is it still not working for you?

Hard Boiled GregMemberHello Rob,
Anything's possible 😉 I don't quite follow what you are after. Could you be more specific with perhaps a link to a site or the theme you are using?
Thanks,
HBG

Hard Boiled GregMemberHi,
I'm looking at your style sheet and the widths still say 48%. You said you changed them?

February 8, 2013 at 7:41 am in reply to: Show only Generate Box and Footer widgets on Homepage #18917Hard Boiled GregMemberHi,
I'm not sure about what you are doing with the front-page.php as the Generate theme doesn't have that file "out-of-the-box"
To accomplish what you are after with a default install, you would open home.php and delete:
add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'child_grid_loop_helper' ); /** Add support for Genesis Grid Loop **/ function child_grid_loop_helper() { if ( function_exists( 'genesis_grid_loop' ) ) { remove_action( 'genesis_before_post_content', 'generate_post_image', 5 ); genesis_grid_loop( array( 'features' => 2, 'feature_image_size' => 'featured', 'feature_image_class' => 'alignleft post-image', 'feature_content_limit' => 0, 'grid_image_size' => 'grid', 'grid_image_class' => 'alignleft post-image', 'grid_content_limit' => 0, 'more' => __( 'Continue reading...', 'genesis' ), 'posts_per_page' => 6, ) ); } else { genesis_standard_loop(); } }
And then add:
.home #inner { display: none; }
to your CSS file to remove the empty div
Again, this is how to do it without your custom front-page.php file.
Let me know how you make out.

Hard Boiled GregMemberHi,
No, if (‘portfolio’ == get_post_type()) won't remove it on it's own, it is just the conditional to check to see if the current post is the portfolio post type, you would then have to tell it what to do if the condition is true.
Would you mind posting the code you are using to create the call-out box, and I'll help you with the conditional.
Thanks,
HBG

Hard Boiled GregMemberI hate posting untested code, but:
if ('portfolio' == get_post_type())
will check to see if the current post is the portfolio post type.
Let me know how it goes.

Hard Boiled GregMemberHi,
In your style sheet, start by changing the widths here:
/* Featured Post Grid from copyblogger installed atk 2-13 ------------------------------------------------------------ */ .genesis-grid-even { float: right; padding: 0 0 15px; width: 48%; } .genesis-grid-odd { clear: both; float: left; padding: 0 0 15px ; width: 48%; }
Let me know if that doesn't resolve it for you.
Take care,

Hard Boiled GregMemberHi Victoria,
If you disable your really simple share plugin, does it look they way you want it to? I think that plugin's styling is clearing the floats.

Hard Boiled GregMemberHi Joel,
In your style sheet, try changing:
h2 a, h2 a:visited { color: #244c5e; font-family: 'Yanone Kaffeesatz', sans-serif; }
to
h1.entry-title, h2 a, h2 a:visited { color: #244c5e; font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; }
and
.entry-content p { margin: 0 0 25px; }
to
.entry-content p { font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif; margin: 0 0 25px; }
Let me know how that works for you and if it changes more or less of the existing fonts to the new style than you want.

Hard Boiled GregMemberHi,
It is set by this rule in your CSS file:
.genesis-nav-menu .current-menu-item a, .genesis-nav-menu li a:hover, .genesis-nav-menu li:hover a { background-color: #f96e5b; }

Hard Boiled GregMemberThis should remove the sidebars and the content. I quickly tested it and it doesn't throw up any errors, but I didn't try it with all of your custom widget code. Feel free to remove anything from your home.php that you added to accomplish the same. Add it right after your opening php tag
add_action( 'genesis_meta', 'hbg_home_genesis_meta' ); /** * Removes content loop and forces page to full-width layout. * */ function hbg_home_genesis_meta() { remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' ); add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' ); }

Hard Boiled GregMemberHi,
I'd like to help. Just so I can get caught up, are you using a home.php file? If you are, would you mind posting what is in there now?
Thanks,
HBG

Hard Boiled GregMemberI tested it before I posted it, but I'm glad you got it resolved.

Hard Boiled GregMemberHello,
Are you asking how to reduce the width of the menu buttons? You could do this by reducing the padding of the:
#header . menu a {
rule in your style sheet.
But if it was me, I'd move the menu from the header to primary-navigation bar, so it isn't trying to occupy the same space as your full width header.
