yes, I removed all of them, and then asked here how to put new things in.
not sure I remember everything i did. I may have removed it all manually. in any case, the lines disappeared, and never came back. in my case the lines were gone and it was just empty space.get simple edits plugin, then just delete everything in the post meta box. you could also look up somewhere where to find the place in the code to delete, maybe use google chrome and highlight the part you want to make disappear.
unfortunately cant remember if I deleted this using simple edits or not, so I dont know the line question, but it is easy enough to just try it, and then compare with the demo.
i used simple edits to reinput what I wanted, which was easy, as it was simply html links as I suspected. you can find the html code you need for any link simply by creating a link in a post in wp, then using text view (instead of visual) to see what the html is, then paste it into post meta in simple edits.
i used html space code &nb...something or other and it created one indent space, but will not create more than one.
hubrisguyMemberalso i should say if i ever get my act together on my non-profit site, i'll keep you in mind for some small jobs. i've got your site noted and I'm sure you'll do a great job if your free to work on small things at that time.
thanks!
hubrisguyMemberthanks anyway! i'm sure its just a question of basic html use, probably
hubrisguyMemberHey that seemed to work! I used simple edits and input that html in the post meta field
(dont know how to show code in this forum)
HomeOne thing I don't understand though, is that this seemed to be a live link that really did go to my home page. How would I create a live link to other designated pages? I tried using the page name instead of home, but it linked to home page anyway (but displayed the page name as the link). for instance, inputting a different page
the other thing is I dont know how to create any space between the terms. they appear one right after another and not evenly displayed as in the expose pro demo.
You can tell from this question now what is my level of understanding!
hubrisguyMemberthanks!
i do use the simple edits plugin but the options are limited to the following which seem to be built into genesis (pasting from the website here):
[post_date]
[post_time]
[post_author]
[post_author_link]
[post_author_posts_link]
[post_comments]
[post_tags]
[post_categories]
[post_edit]
[post_terms]None of these are what I want: I would want a link to a specific page (or post) for static things like: a sign up pitch with a sign up form, or members login page, etc. So it would be functioning as a menu. Is this possible?
I cant tell if the code you have on that other thread would help me with that.
I am happy to input shortcodes into simple edits as well, its just that these codes are the only ones I can find.
