November 30, 2020 at 3:36 pm in reply to: Essence Pro how to make top 2 sticky posts sticky on home page #502128Jamie LynchParticipant
I was able to achieve what I wanted by creating a category: sticky and applying it to the two posts.
November 30, 2020 at 2:57 pm in reply to: Essence Pro how to make top 2 sticky posts sticky on home page #502124Jamie LynchParticipantThank you, but I'm not sure what your instructions are saying. I checked the block and every possible way of seeing the block structure and attributes in the document tab, the blocks tab, etc. but did not see anything where there is an option to "Exclude Sticky Posts" Can you tell me a bit more about where to find it?
Much Thanks!March 30, 2017 at 5:36 pm in reply to: Outreach Pro right-navigation – search form disappears on small screens #204085Jamie LynchParticipantThanks Victor! That's what I figured, but it great to hear it from someone with more knowledge than I have. After I posted I tried adding some media queries, but it didn't work. In the meantime I added the search form to the footer and I'm trying to talk the client into upgrading/updating his site.
I really appreciate you responding.
Have a great evening!March 30, 2017 at 2:58 pm in reply to: Outreach Pro right-navigation – search form disappears on small screens #204072Jamie LynchParticipantOH NO! I'm definitely working on too many sites at one time!! The child theme is Pure-Elegance, not Outreach Pro!!
November 7, 2016 at 6:21 am in reply to: Outreach Pro – genesis simple hooks causes responsive slider to crash #195820Jamie LynchParticipantThank you for responding. I went ahead and used .css to remove the .site-footer from appearing. I set the font-size to: 0px.
November 7, 2016 at 6:20 am in reply to: Outreach Pro – genesis simple hooks causes responsive slider to crash #195819Jamie LynchParticipantThank you for responding! I too have used Simple Hooks and Responsive Slider of dozens of sites...including the Outreach Pro theme....that's why it's mystifying why its happening now.
November 6, 2016 at 2:11 pm in reply to: Outreach Pro – genesis simple hooks causes responsive slider to crash #195803Jamie LynchParticipantOk, but how do I unhook genesis_do_footer() function without Simple Hooks?
March 14, 2016 at 8:30 am in reply to: Genesis 2.2.7 update crashes site (error in Genesis Sandbox Featured Content W) #181401Jamie LynchParticipantMy issue was resolved. I enabled error logs and when I reset enable error logs to 'false' the Genesis error went away.
March 14, 2016 at 7:32 am in reply to: Genesis 2.2.7 update crashes site (error in Genesis Sandbox Featured Content W) #181394Jamie LynchParticipantAfter updating to Genesis 2.2.7 I am getting this error: Notice: genesis_home is deprecated since version 1.7.0! Use do_action( 'genesis_home' ) instead. in /home/content/23/6645523/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3573
Jamie LynchParticipantDid anyone ever figure this one out. I've tried EVERYTHING!
http://t2energysolutions.comNovember 14, 2013 at 8:23 am in reply to: Making header image responsive — some simple css help: #72933Jamie LynchParticipantI am having the same issue. I'm using Executive Pro for the 1st time (html 5). I've used Executive Child Theme for years and this new Executive Pro version has a HUGE learning curve. I've had to add my header image in the .home-top section. If you find the answer to you question, please be kind and share it with me.

Jamie LynchParticipantDavid,
I see you took my advice to use the function built into the Corporate theme. It looks good.
Jamie LynchParticipantHi David. Sorry I was away for a few days. I will take a look at your search field now. Before I do though, I thought the Corporate child theme allows you to simply add the search field to the far right of your navigation bar. This is the logical place for the navigation bar.
All you would have to do is in your Dashboard, go to Genesis > Theme Settings > Scroll down to Navigation > Primary Navigation and Select: "Enable Extras on Right Side.
Jamie LynchParticipantYes, it your case you can do it with CSS and it will work well because the top right side of your header is solid black. You'd have to add styling to the widget: size, background color, height, position.
Go ahead and re-activate the header widget with the search feature. I'll look at it using Firebug and then write back and tell you how to modify the CSS.
Jamie LynchParticipantYou enabled a widget in the header and placed a Search feature in that widget. You need to remove this if you don't want it to cover your header image.
Also, you should add an attribute of width to the CSS. Therefore, your CSS would be modified and look like this:
.home #header #title-area {
background: url(images/header.png) no-repeat transparent;
width: 960px;}
If you're still having trouble with adding a different image to your other pages, let me know and I'll explain further.
Jamie LynchParticipantDavid...I found the solution. By modifying the CSS you can have one image for the homepage header and a different image in the header on other pages. In fact, every page can have a different image.
For the HomePage modify the .CSS by adding the following...
.home #header #title-area {background: url(images/header.png) no-repeat transparent;
}
For pages, find the page ID number and then insert it where you see "xx" below and also make sure the URL is the correct path to the image....
.page-id-xx #header {
background-image: url("http://yourwebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/header-secondary-pages.png");
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}
Jamie LynchParticipantHello, I have the same question. Did you ever find an answer? I'd appreciate any advice you can give me!
Jamie LynchParticipantI have the same problem with the slider not showing in IE. http://chesapeakecollision.com. Can anyone help?
Jamie LynchParticipantDid you ever work this out? I too, want to have more than one blog on our website. It would be one blog where the students blog with each other and another blog where the doctors blog with each other. Do you know if this can be done?
