    Hey there

    there is nothing you can really do about it linking, it’s built in the plugin

    you could just use a text widget, and put you content and image in there, you would need to grab the html in firebug, and then edit it to remove the links, and even move the image where you need.

    here is a quick grab of one of the posts from the sample theme (home-bottom), links removed, you would still need to do some css tweaks, but it would only take a minute.

    <article itemtype="http://schema.org/BlogPosting" itemscope="itemscope" class="post-71 post type-post status-publish format-standard category-category-1 tag-images-centered entry">
      <header class="entry-header">
        <h2 class="entry-title">Sample Post With Image Centered</h2>
        <p class="entry-meta"><time datetime="2013-01-01T01:55:21+00:00" itemprop="datePublished" class="entry-time">January 1, 2013</time></p>
      </header>

      <div class="entry-content">
        <p>This is an example of a WordPress post, you could edit this to put information about yourself or your site so readers
    		know where you are coming from. You can create as many posts.</p>
      </div>
    </article>

    That’s a little tricky, because the featured page/post widgets don’t allow for the title and text to display on top of the image

    Normally i would just write a custom to achieve this instead of using the widgets, but that is a big job.

    you could try and ‘position: absolute’ the image and add some margin to the ‘entry-header’ to push it down, this would give the effect with just a few lines of css, but this is just a theory

    unfortunately the agency Pro demo does not have a featured image on the bottom section, so i can’t try it

    Hi Krina !

    Unfortunately hard coding them is the only real way to do them properly.

    It is very easy to do but if you are not confident then i understand you not wanting to dive into the themes files.

    You could forget the widgets and just use the Genesis column classes, this is perfectly fine and would be a great way of doing it, this is what the Genesis column classes are for, stuff like this.

    Then just add your images and info to each column on the actual page (wrapped in a link). This will also give you a LOT more control as to what is going in each column compared to the featured page widget.

    Because Genesis column class are so easy to use, why not just test it out on page, add some dummy content in there to start with.

    Keep me posted as to how you go

    Hi

    you have set them to a fixed width with an inline style, so they are not responsive

    instead, use percentages or change the width via media queries

    Hey champ

    This looks like an issue with the jquery fade when scrolled function, it is setting the opacity to -6.49 for the home-top div when you perform browser resize as you described above.

    Aside from removing the fade function itself, i don’t know how this can be fixed, but atleast you know what is causing it

    hope this helps a little

    Thanks Brad

    i found this shortcode

    [footer_loginout redirect to "www.mysite.com/somepage"]

    and added that via a function

    works great but if someone has a sec could they check i have done it right?

    // Add Login/out to primary nav
    add_filter(‘wp_nav_menu_items’,’my_item’, 11, 2);
    function my_item($items, $args) {

    if( is_admin() ||  $args->theme_location != ‘primary’ )
    return $items;

    $items .= ‘<li class=”right”>’ . do_shortcode(‘[footer_loginout redirect="http://penyinternational.com/files/contact/"]‘) . ‘</li>’;
    return $items;
    }

    thanks again

    yeh that is the only way i know of, disable the index.html (or rename it temporarily)

    when building a client site, i install wordpress in a new directory called “wordpress” (or whatever you like), this way i can work on the whole site as it is in a separate directory and not in the main root directory.

    then it is easy to just put the site live when done

    let me know if you need any further info on this.

    You could increase the #content width by 20px (from 720px to 740px) and decrease the right padding by 20px

    atleast on that page.

    this did the job in firebug

    <code>

    #content {

        float: left;
        padding: 30px 40px 10px;
        width: 740px;

    }

    </code>
