JamesParticipant
no problems there
paste your css in as well
JamesParticipanthave you made any modifications to the header?
paste the code here so i can replicate the issue
JamesParticipanttry adjusting the 'top: 70' try '0' or -'40' or removing it completely
check you don't have a margin on the bottom of the header causing the gap
JamesParticipanthi bburro
screenshot did'nt seem to show in the post
JamesParticipantany chance of a screenshot of the issue and one of how you want it to look?
JamesParticipantyep, that's the idea
with position fixed and width 100% it is going to go full width, and with 'left: 0' will stick it to the left of the screen
instead leave out the 'left: 0' and add a 'max-width'
like so
.nav-primary { background-color: black; margin-bottom: 60px; max-width: 1140px; position: fixed; text-align: center; top: 70px; width: 100%; z-index: 999; }
JamesParticipantyou got the idea now
no need to include the '.widget-area', not needed.
.home-top .wrap { max-width: 100%; }
JamesParticipanthi Heather
the code above only changes the width of the .wrap where the slider is, nothing else
tested and working
JamesParticipantI'm on firefox and all is good, chrome good as well
the site did take a VERY long time to load completely, several minutes infact, and until it was completely loaded the footer did not show, but once all loaded, showed fine.
JamesParticipantHi mfd
I'm not seeing any issues, footer and footer widgets are all there.
JamesParticipantHi Heather
you can easily do this by adding a 100% width to the .wrap that the slider is in.
like so
.outreach-pro-home .site-inner .wrap { max-width: 100%; }
you would then need to edit the slider settings for a large image, say 1920px X 460px
but this still leaves the slider content and arrows to be close to the edge of the screen, so some addition styling would be required for those.
JamesParticipantHi Jason
you do this in the style.css line 1153
change the width from 360px to 440px
like so
.title-area { float: left; padding: 0; width: 440px; }

you got it right, and yes, this will work on any theme with post types
keep up the creative thinking
JamesParticipantHi bburro
check out this post I just replied to, it should help you out
http://www.studiopress.community/topic/sticky-secondary-nav-menu-in-parallax-pro/#post-152879
JamesParticipantHi Jodiana
I just want to say i know exactly how you feel regarding your struggles. I can relate to what you are going though.
Are you able to edit some css in the stylessheet?
you would need to do this in order to get those widths, let me know
for newsletter signups i recommend Genesis Enews extended with Mailchimp
JamesParticipantHi jbendiner
try this
body.gppro-custom .nav-secondary { background-color: #000; position: fixed; width: 100%; z-index: 1; }
JamesParticipantHi Fernando
Thankyou for posting, but this does not seem to be an issue with a Studiopress theme
sounds like an issue with the W3TC plugin or WP multisite
JamesParticipanthi whiskymac,
for the logo you could reduce the background size to 250px
yes you need to edit the media queries, the very last one is for mobiles and add
.site-title a {
background-size: 250px;
}the second question, you have the main content set to 630px wide
which is'nt wide enough to fill the screen for ipad, i also noticed a large gap between the content and sidebar when viewing on a desktop, you would need to make the content wider that 630px and then go down in size in media queries.
for the images not lining up, you seem to have used a visual editor or something? which has added lots of it's own styles, this is preventing the images from moving to a single column, quite a bit of work would need to be done in order to get those images to work on mobiles.
you would need to override the css in the media queries for that too.
JamesParticipantyou could use the simple social icons widget and add the phone number as the title.
JamesParticipantHey there
there is nothing you can really do about it linking, it's built in the plugin
you could just use a text widget, and put you content and image in there, you would need to grab the html in firebug, and then edit it to remove the links, and even move the image where you need.
here is a quick grab of one of the posts from the sample theme (home-bottom), links removed, you would still need to do some css tweaks, but it would only take a minute.
