Thank you for taking the time to answer Graham!
It worked.
Now I'll need to tweak it quit a bit!
Thanks again.
jgentryParticipantI figured it out.
The problem was with the HOME TOP Widget. I had to change the number of posts from “1” to “2” and then back to “1.”
Now it works.
Just a hiccup I guess.
jgentryParticipantWhat about the “Business Themes” available through SP? There’s Executive, Enterprise, Associate, and Metric for example.
With a few modifications you can have a similar layout like the ones you’ve mentioned above (and frankly, make them better).
My 2 cents 🙂
jgentryParticipantThe last piece of code is exactly what I needed.
Thank you sir!

September 3, 2014 at 11:29 am in reply to: Can you help me out with my enews/mailchimp sign up widget? #122615jgentryParticipantDid you try just typing "EMAIL" in the widget field entitled "EMAIL?"
If I remember correctly you need to only fill out the FORM ACTION field and the EMAIL field. You literally need to type "EMAIL" into the email field and then save it.
See if that helps.
August 20, 2014 at 3:11 pm in reply to: How can I work on a new child theme while another is installed? #120079jgentryParticipantGotcha.
Thanks my man!
jgentryParticipantThanks for your help. I really appreciate it!
jgentryParticipantGot it. Used Genesis Extender Plugin to do it.
I like the way it looks now on my laptop, iphone, and ipad. The only problem I see at this point is when I put my ipad in horizontal view, my logo and the search box are staggered.
The logo is higher than the search box and so the Title Area is wide.
I can live with that.
jgentryParticipantThanks for the advice.
I wasn't successful in adding the line of code for the Search Widget. I added what you recommended and it didn't change anything so I removed it.
When I delete the Search Widget the title area looks just right.
I'll keep working on it! Thanks!
jgentryParticipantGot it.
I just made it smaller (400x72) and made the appropriate changes in the header sections of the css and function.php files.
jgentryParticipantGotcha. That's kind of what I was leaning towards. I'll check it out.
Thanks!
jgentryParticipantI'm using Metro Pro.
I haven't heard of the approach you've mentioned. I've used MP on other sites and haven't experienced this problem before.
jgentryParticipantYes I did, but it didn't help.
jgentryParticipantI tried that, but unfortunately it didn't work. I'm using a custom static homepage via Genesis Extender.
I've tried disabling the custom homepage and doing what you've suggested and that hasn't worked either.
I'm sure there's a solution I just have to find it.
Thanks for the suggestion! If you have more I'dove to hear!
jgentryParticipantThank you Sridhar!
I greatly appreciate your help! Worked great.
Thank you so much for sharing your expertise!
jgentryParticipantThanks Sridhar. I'm still considering your offer.
Thanks!
jgentryParticipantI failed to mention that I'm using Genesis Extender, but I don't know much about it yet. I'm sure it would help somehow.
I'll look into your options.
Thank you
jgentryParticipantHey Dave!
I was concerned about the size of the photo too. I want it to fill the width of the container, but you're right it's cumbersome and needs fixed.
As far as the links opening in new windows...I've not heard that perspective before. I'm glad you brought it up!
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions! I really appreciate them!
jgentryParticipantWorked!
Just wanted to let ya know!
