Hi Brad,
Thanks for the response, sorry for the delay.
The code was extremely simple:
<div class="banner"> <div class="wrap"> <h1>Fill Out Our Form To See If You Qualify for Disability Benefits!</h1> </div> </div>
CSS:
.banner { background-color: #147CC0; } .banner h1 { text-align: center; padding: 20px 0 12px 0; color: #fff; }
Shows up fine in all major browsers and I an also see the code when I view source using IE8 chrome viewer plugin.
jiversenMemberHi Sridhar,
Thanks a lot for that, it appears to fix the issue there!
Cheers,
Jordan
jiversenMemberThanks for the suggestion Brad. I have used both of those before, I was just hoping I had an option where I did not have to restyle the slider css.
Cheers,
Jordan
jiversenMemberThis link may help you for the "..." issue when using an excerpt :http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/the_excerpt
Here is the snippet you probably want:
For versions 2.9 and higher of WordPress
By default, excerpt more string at the end is set to '[...]'. To change excerpt more string using excerpt_more filter, add the following code to functions.php file in your theme:function new_excerpt_more( $more ) { return '[.....]'; } add_filter('excerpt_more', 'new_excerpt_more');
jiversenMemberOk, I figured it out. I thought the Before and After were identifying the Div's that it would come before or after, not adding HTML before or after.
Cheers,
Jordan
jiversenMemberThat stripped out my html, so here is link to pastebin: http://pastebin.com/MXr20YfL
jiversenMemberHi Brad,
Thanks for the reply.
Adding widgetized areas seemed to be the best course of action for what I wanted to do. That said, I am running into an issue where it is adding an additional #inner section, and I am unaware why.
Here is the code that I added:
/** Register top form widget */
genesis_register_sidebar( array(
'id' => 'topform',
'name' => __( 'Top Form', 'mp' ),
'description' => __( 'Section for the top form', 'mp' ),
) );add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'custom_after_header', 11 );
function custom_after_header() {
genesis_widget_area( 'topform', array(
'before' => '',
) );
}/** Register bottom form widget */
genesis_register_sidebar( array(
'id' => 'bottomform',
'name' => __( 'Bottom Form', 'mp' ),
'description' => __( 'Section for the bottom form', 'mp' ),
) );add_action( 'genesis_before_footer', 'custom_before_footer', 9 );
function custom_before_footer() {
genesis_widget_area( 'bottomform', array(
'after' => '',
) );
}
Thoughts?
jiversenMemberI too would like to know this as well. Thanks!
