Thank you for your reply. I have changed the header area to include the newly created header image. Please let me know what you think.
jmalisosMemberThis reply has been marked as private.jmalisosMemberAfter installing the Soliloquy slider and adding images, I added the following code (with the correct slider id) to the end of the theme functions.php file…
function slider_after_header_home() {
if (is_home()) {
echo do_shortcode(‘[soliloquy id="1019"]‘);
}
};I am still unable to get the homepage slider to work. Does anyone have a suggestion?
jmalisosMemberThis reply has been marked as private.jmalisosMemberHi Brad: I'm sorry, but I am not clear... is a hook a widget area?
So I installed the Soliloquy Slider, but I prefer no to have the slider in the header area. I need the slider to be located between the menu area and the featured widgets area (top left, top right) on the homepage. Please advise.
Do you suggest backing up the site prior to making these changes? If so, what is the best and least expensive way of doing it?

jmalisosMemberUnfortunately there is no widget area that would place the slider where it needs to be. The version of the lifestyle themeĀ I have has a Top Left, Top Right and a Featured Bottom. If there were a Featured Top it would work... what do you suggest?
jmalisosMemberI deactivated the Dynamic Content Gallery, downloaded the Genesis Responsive Slider and activated the plugin...
What do I need to do in order to get the slider (Genesis Responsive Slider) onto the homepage where the old slider used to be?
jmalisosMemberThis reply has been marked as private.jmalisosMemberUnfortunately I am using the Dynamic Content Galley ID method and there is no place for me to drag any of the Featured Posts underneath the slider in order to achieve a single column above the default double column layout.
I posted a new thread asking how to update the theme to the current version. Hopefully you can shed some light on that issue for me.
Thanks for your help!
jmalisosMemberThis reply has been marked as private.jmalisosMemberThe version I have installed is 1.1.1, which was awhile ago. The version listed within the my.studiopress.com page shows version 2.0.1. When you say match the version found there to the version listed in my Style.css file... I'm not following. The only version listed in the current downloadable version 2.0.1 and a link to Get Started.
How do I update my theme's version without losing all the content and data?
jmalisosMemberMaybe I have a different version than the current demo because in addition to the sidebar widgets, I only have three homepage widget areas: Featured Top Left, Featured Top Right and Featured Bottom. I also don't have the "Portfolio" page layout option mentioned in the instructions.
If I update to Genesis 1.9.2 will I lose all the website content? If so, how do you suggest I backup the site?
jmalisosMemberThis reply has been marked as private.jmalisosMemberThank you for your response. I uploaded the demo pic (914 x 150) to the welcome section and it's still not fitting. Any suggestions?
