You should be able to put that CSS in the theme's CSS. You'll want to avoid making changes to a plugin's CSS because when plugins get updated, it will likely overwrite your customizations.
jodzeeeMemberI think a couple things are happening here ... first of all, the image is blurry and pixelated at a large size to begin with.
http://charlestoncornhole.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/cclheader2.jpgI'm not sure the optimal size for this, but I've used 1920 ?— 1280 with good results. You should start with an image at least that size, if it's larger, you can size it down. If you start with something smaller and enlarge it, you can expect it to be blurry/pixelated.
The other thing I think that is making it larger than you want it to be is that your image is not very tall so I assume the script is trying to fill the browser both in height and width, making it look even larger in width than you intend.
My advice is to find an image for the background that is at least 1920 ?— 1280 and place your logo on that, then optimize it for web (e.g., in Photoshop) to compress it so you're not loading a huge file. Hopefully you have a vector version of the logo to place on the background so it will look crisp to begin with.
Hope that makes sense!
jodzeeeMemberIt would be helpful if you'd add an image for us to see and be more specific about what's wrong with it.
July 22, 2014 at 11:20 am in reply to: Img in header attribute overrides all other img attributes #115417jodzeeeMemberI think you forgot to close the div in your function.
jodzeeeMemberThe CSS that's controlling it is:
.widget { margin-bottom: 32px; margin-bottom: 3.2rem; word-wrap: break-word; }
But changing that might change other widgets you don't necessarily want to change, so you can be more specific:
.header-widget-area .widget { margin-bottom: 32px; }
Here's a tutorial on finding and changing your CSS
http://www.studiopress.com/tips/using-firebug.htmjodzeeeMemberSince you're modifying the CSS that's defined in a plugin, you have to make sure the styles you're defining take precedence. There are various ways to do this.
.home-slider .flexslider { background: black; }
or
.flexslider { background: black !important; }
Or you could try adding code to functions.php to remove your theme's stylesheet, then load it after all plugins.
These articles will help you understand the various methods:

You'll need to adjust the padding as well.
For #4 - look in your CSS toward the bottom in the Media Queries (which controls what happens when browser size changes) for this and change the padding:
.site-footer { padding: 24px; }
jodzeeeMemberThis is the CSS that is controlling the background color.
.flexslider { background: #fff; position: relative; zoom: 1; }
jodzeeeMemberIn your CSS, look for this:
.site-title { font-family: Montserrat, sans-serif; font-size: 30px; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: 1px; line-height: 1; margin-bottom: 0; text-transform: uppercase; }
and then delete the text-transform line (or change it from uppercase to normal)
July 21, 2014 at 12:51 pm in reply to: Removed Title Link from Slider Excerpt – Executive Pro #115228jodzeeeMemberI don't know the answer, but if you don't find an answer here, you might ask at the support page for the plugin:
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/genesis-responsive-slider... and please report back to help others who might have the same question 🙂
jodzeeeMemberSorry ... since you mentioned it was in a widget, I thought you knew where to find them, but didn't know how to change them.
Start by reading the setup instructions here:
http://my.studiopress.com/setup/centric-pro-theme/The link wasn't to a plugin, but rather, instructions on how to use icons similar to what's already being used, if you wish. If your question is just on where to change them, you can disregard that.
jodzeeeMemberThanks Brad. For now I might just go with a plugin that creates a simple playlist instead of getting fancy with it. The client has 20+ audio clips, so it's probably more digestible as a playlist.
jodzeeeMemberHere's a list of dashicons available:
http://melchoyce.github.io/dashicons/If you want other icon options, you could try using font awesome. Here's instructions if it's not already included in your theme:
http://sridharkatakam.com/using-font-awesome-wordpress/And if you want other images, just add them in the code or CSS.
jodzeeeMemberYou're welcome. Please mark this post as resolved. Cheers!
jodzeeeMemberIn your CSS, change the font weight to 300.
If you want them all the same, change it from 700 to 300 where you see this in your CSS:
h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
color: #000;
font-family: 'Roboto', sans-serif;
font-weight: 700;
line-height: 1.2;
margin: 0;
margin-bottom: 16px;
padding: 0;
}July 1, 2014 at 1:51 am in reply to: Minimum Pro background image not displaying on mobile devices #112337jodzeeeMemberDid you get it worked out? Looks like it's working fine now, including on my iPad and iPhone.
jodzeeeMemberTake it out of the header-right widget and change the location in the menu screen.
June 30, 2014 at 5:05 pm in reply to: Minimum Pro background image not displaying on mobile devices #112241jodzeeeMemberThis is all I see on the home page. I see no image on the other pages.

jodzeeeMemberI'm assuming the reason the CSS not working is because of a caching issue.
But let's back up. I assume you're using a static page for your home page? And the page you have defined ... have you set it to use the full-width layout? That's all you should need to do and not mess with the CSS. Carrie's tutorial was to hide one sidebar, but show the other. My understanding is you just want full-width with no sidebar. Just use the layout option.
jodzeeeMemberJust read Carrie's solution ... no reason that shouldn't work. But since you're only trying to hide one sidebar and not keep another as she was doing - all you should need to do is choose the full width layout.
