How about this plugin:
http://codecanyon.net/item/fanciest-author-box/2504522?ref=haymanplAs reviewed by Brad Dalton
http://wpsites.net/best-plugins/fanciest-author-box-plugin/jodzeeeMemberI don't see that in your CSS. Are you using a page caching plugin?
Try changing the height here. It worked for me.
/* Logo, hide text */
.header-image .site-title a {
background-position: top !important;
float: left;
min-height: 90px;
width: 100%;
}Also, your image is showing at 1038px, but the container is 1138px. You'll need to make your image larger or your container smaller.
jodzeeeMemberI've always had a hard time figuring out how to control it using the way you tried it with upload and sizing in functions, but have better luck with CSS, so I feel your pain 🙂
jodzeeeMemberNow the responsiveness isn't working properly though. How were you pointing to the image, via "appearance" in the dashboard or in CSS? I've never seen it rename it "cropped". Are you sure you were pointing to the right image?
I think you could do similar to what you did with .site-header, but apply it to the title area in your CSS instead of telling the theme to put it there via functions.
This tutorial might help:
http://www.carriedils.com/add-logo-genesis-theme/And Brad D. has a ton ... if not at this link, there are multiple others linked at the bottom and in the comments.
jodzeeeMemberThe logo that you've got uploaded is actually that size and cropped, so you'll have to start by pointing it to one that is the size you want.
You may have to tweak the CSS to get the container width you want so it's not overlapping.
jodzeeeMemberI'm not sure I can help, but you'll need to provide a link to your site so someone can have a look at the sizing issue.
jodzeeeMemberSoliloquy is another good responsive slider. Before figuring it out, I used to create separate posts and redirect them to the proper pages!
jodzeeeMemberIs there a typical file size that I should be shooting for? Is 150k too big?
jodzeeeMemberAlso ...
Change the width back to what it was and add this to just change that one to 20%
#featured-post-2 .entry {
width: 20%;
}This tutorial might also help ...
http://wpsites.net/web-design/increase-agency-pro-themes-home-middle-widgets-from-3-to-4-columns/jodzeeeMemberThanks! I think where I got caught was the background wasn't dark so I was just seeing a blank spot. I used your code, changed the background to #222, then proceeded to tweak my CSS to move the secondary nav bar to the top like the primary. It was working great, but ...
... then I found an easier way!
In menus, I selected the one I'm using as my main nav and told it to be BOTH primary and secondary. Then in my CSS, I hid the primary, then showed it again and hid the secondary in my media query. This way, I don't have to touch the .js file.
It works great. But if anyone can think of any reason not to do it this way, let me know.
jodzeeeMemberHere are some tutorials that might help:
http://wpsites.net/web-design/styling-the-background-of-your-theme/
http://wpsites.net/web-design/changing-background-color-specific-page-post/jodzeeeMemberIn your CSS, add this:
text-align: center;
to this:
.ad-above-header { background: # url(images/dots.png1); padding: 8px 0 0; padding: .8rem 0 0; }
jodzeeeMemberI have the same question. I'm using the secondary menu instead of the primary menu and I'd like it to turn into the hamburger/responsive when it's small. I tried changing the CSS and the .js and it didn't work.
Here's my site:
http://www.ethanbearman.com/Thanks!
jodzeeeMemberI don't think so. I wonder if there's a plugin or something else buried that's using that same class that's overriding it. Try changing the class to something other than clear-line in both your CSS and the html and see if that works.
jodzeeeMemberIf I'm understanding what you're after ... in your CSS, try adjusting the percentage of this to be more:
#title-area
and this to be less:
#header .widget-area
jodzeeeMemberHmmmm ... do you have a caching plugin or cloudflare or something that would be keeping the CSS from showing up? When I enter it into the inspector, it works.
June 12, 2014 at 11:58 am in reply to: Display post excerpts for blog only; not archive pages #109495jodzeeeMemberThanks, now I understand what you were getting at. Is there an advantage to doing it that way versus the way I did it above?
jodzeeeMemberStart with this tutorial and see if it helps. It will show you how to define new size values in your functions.php file. You will also need to tweak the CSS to get it centered.

jodzeeeMemberI see the articles. Have you resolved this?
June 11, 2014 at 9:07 pm in reply to: Display post excerpts for blog only; not archive pages #109414jodzeeeMemberI don't think I worded my question right. I want to show all content on archive pages and excerpts only on the blog page.
I finally figured it out.
add_action( 'genesis_before_loop', 'sk_excerpts_blog_page' ); function sk_excerpts_blog_page() { if ( is_page_template( 'page_blog.php' ) ) { add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_content_archive', 'sk_show_excerpts' ); } } function sk_show_excerpts() { return 'excerpts'; }
