No, it’s coming from the form but its not showing up in the demo. Remove the bottom padding and it will get rid of 20px of space down there.
What edits have you made to the theme? The front page should show up like the demo out of the box if your reading settings are left at their defaults.

You would need to move the slider widget area function from home.php and put it into functions.php in a new function using the after_header hook.

What do you mean that it doesn’t link to your email?
To put it on every page you’d need to move the function out of home.php into functions.php

You have a Pages widget in footer widget 1. Is that what you’re referring to? Can you post a screenshot?
Yep, content is showing as 720px and sidebar is 340px and everything is aligned properly fgor me
We are still talking about the Minimum theme? I just tested and all you do is upload your image through the Header panel and uncheck the show title option. If you want a smaller header you need to edit the custom header dimensions in functions.php
Everything looks like it should to me. Sidebar is next to the content. Perhaps you need to clear your cache.
