You can use the Generate Box plugin

SoZoMemberOk, since you can't do priority numbers in simple hooks you'll need to add a function to the functions file using the before_footer hook with a priority number so it outputs before the footer widgets.

SoZoMemberSoZoMemberYou don't need a home.php if all you want to add is a slider. See my response to your other post on the same topic.

SoZoMemberNo, the landing page is for creating a squeeze or landing page. See this tutorial on adding a new sidebar through the functions file using conditional tags.

SoZoMemberIncrease the top padding in #header .widget-area
I recommend installing the Firebug add on for Firefox or using Chrome's Firebug Lite which will enable you to right click on any element to inspect it and determine the associated style rules or the selectors required to create new style rules.

SoZoMemberIt's most likely a javascript conflict. The Genesis slider works without any issues. You'll need to work with the plugin developers to find what is conflicting.

SoZoMemberYou could try the after_content_sidbear hook.

SoZoMemberYou'll need to edit how the plugins are placing their code.

February 4, 2013 at 9:13 am in reply to: LifeStyle Theme not utilizing the featured image on the home page #17847SoZoMemberThe themes already support post thumbnails. Do you have DCG set to automatically pull the featured image? Have you deactivated all other plugins to rule out conflicts? You could use the Genesis slider.

SoZoMemberFunctions can be placed into functions.php unless you need them in another template. How did you add your div? Have you read the tutorials here?

SoZoMemberSoZoMemberTHis is the remove action needed
remove_action( ‘genesis_header’, ‘genesis_header_markup_open’, 5 ); remove_action( ‘genesis_header’, ‘genesis_do_header’ ); remove_action( ‘genesis_header’, ‘genesis_header_markup_close’, 15 );

SoZoMemberSoZoMemberRemove what iDavinder posted and replace it with what I posted in my second response.
Wait, how are the posts on the home page being output?
John “Nicolas Flamel” Wright | SoZo’s design| John Wright Photography
SoZoMemberDelete this from the functions file
/** Remove the site description */ remove_action( 'genesis_site_description', 'genesis_seo_site_description' );

SoZoMemberYes, but you want them below the post title, right?
What did you add to the functions file after my post? i.e what did you change? I am not seeing any difference. It still shows up above the post title in the single post page, which is where iDavinder's example would output, not mine.

SoZoMemberWhat exactly do you have in there now? It's still showing up above the post title in singel view.
