I'm using this and it seems to work well - https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-widget-titles/
October 9, 2014 at 1:40 pm in reply to: Parallax Pro – Hide header logo but display text – Responsive #127242jruezParticipant@emasai, messing around with those values using the browser tools has displayed it. I am going to fiddle with it more later and will report the exact fix. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
October 9, 2014 at 12:46 pm in reply to: Parallax Pro – Hide header logo but display text – Responsive #127232jruezParticipantThank you for your input. Yes, you are correct, it is in .site-title
<h1 class="site-title" itemprop="headline"><a href="http://www.site.com/">TEXT</a></h1>
And here is what is generated when the image is added to for the logo
.site-title a { background: url('http://www.site.com/wp-content/logo.png') no-repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent !important; }
I do understand that it is all being hidden, but what I am asking is how I can stop this, since it is being done in the Parallax Pro theme.
Can I add custom CSS?
Can I add something to a function to break the two out or fix this issue?jruezParticipantI respectfully disagree. I was asking for more clarification to the answer you gave the author. Again thank you for the original information you provided. It did help me find the answers I needed.
jruezParticipantI was actually trying to add to this conversation with an example of what you were telling this person to do. I did not understand. It wouldn't have made sense on a new thread. Since I replied, I have found the media queries you were speaking about. Thanks.
jruezParticipantI know this is a bit old, but @Anita, could you give an example of what code would need to be added? I am trying to fix my logo to turn to text instead of an image, or become a smaller image version. Is this just done in CSS?
jruezParticipantThanks @briansteeleca. I actually figured it out and hadn't have time to post what I did. In my custom.css, I put the following in
.header-image .title-area {
padding: 0;
position: absolute;
z-index: 99999 !important;
}.header-image .site-title > a {
background-size: contain !important;
display: block;
height: 150px;
text-indent: -9999px;
max-width: 360px;
}Now I have another issue I will post as a new thread. I need to figure out how to make the logo either smaller or turn to text when the screen shrinks. I don't understand all this responsive code yet.
jruezParticipantAh, thank you @braddalton. I see how this works now. That worked! I appreciate your help.
jruezParticipantthanks for this suggestion. I will take a look.
The show excerpt option does not seem to work, since these are pages that I am working with, not posts.
Thanks again
