Thanks, Andrea. I didn't realize I could just pull in a widget. That fixed it.
JTNeedhamMemberHi Andrea - No, there is no search box now. There was on the old theme; when I installed Parallax Pro, it went away.
You can see from the code I posted in my original message that there does appear to be code in the CSS for a search box, but it does not appear on the the site.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
JTNeedhamMemberLauren - You rock. That did it -- thanks so much!
JTNeedhamMemberThank you, Lauren - that did it.
(And you're right about the page loading: it's been really slow and dropping all day.)
JTNeedhamMemberThat did it, Lauren - thanks so much!
JTNeedhamMemberHi Lauren - Thank you but I don't know what quotes to remove. I tried removing the quotes around ”clear: left;” and it didn't work. I then also removed the quotes around ”60%” and it still didn't work.
This is how the code stands now:
<div><hr width=60% style=clear: left; /><div>JTNeedhamMemberHi Rod -
I replaced my code with yours, and I still have the same problem, except that the out of place line is now shorter. Still no line above St. Patrick's Day.
Thank you, but any ideas of what I'm still doing wrong?
JTNeedhamMemberHi Andrea - Thanks again. The light bulb finally went on that it was better to set the default page style for 1 column/sidebar and then override that to 1 column on single column pages. 24 pages vs. 500+ posts made that the clear choice. Thanks!
JTNeedhamMemberHi Andrea - Genesis > Theme Settings > Default Layout is set to single page, because most of my site is a single page format. But, the Blog Page, and individual posts need to have the sidebar show. Right now, the sidebar only shows on the Blog Page, but not when I click on a Post.
