Yeah still no luck. Uninstalled Genesis, deactivated all the plugins, took the blog off Cloudflare… now all I have is a slower site and to re-install a lot of stuff
STILL do not see the Genesis admin area. Doesn’t matter if I activate other child themes or not. Makes no difference at all.

So I take it that I’m to edit Prose’s css file? I did try to edit the background-color there, but it didn’t change the silly thing. I have no idea why. Maybe the file just didn’t update. Chmod issues sometimes cause that. I was just too tired to deal with it at the time. Will try fussing with it again today.
Seems to work now though. I too was having that issue. According to the wordpress.org link you posted, deselecting Disable the author archives will now show the author page correctly.
