I am having the same problem with the mobile menu. What part do I need to swap out in the css?
lunadauhnnMemberThank you. I will take a look at this! I appreciate it. And yes, I have wondered about the best ways to carry those mods over into something other than a child theme as I did not really want the responsibility for updating it everytime wp/genesis updated.
lunadauhnnMemberI do free website and marketing assessments and would say that you might want to take another look at your business model, your target audience and your content.
Personally I find WordPress and Genesis to be quite Google/SEO friendly with minimal tweaks. Perhaps the challenges lie elsewhere?
Content is King/Queen...and all the SEO helps but is secondary to great, engaging, valid content.
Feel free to ask for a free assessment. I'd love to chat in more detail.
lunadauhnnMemberIt looks great but personally I really try to get the client to have a minimal, horizontal version of their logo created so that it can be in the top nav bar and take up less real estate. A more fleshed out version of the log can be displayed on the top of secondary page sidebars or other areas but IMHO there's too much white space in the top fold of the site...
But I'm an old timer in this biz...I tend to be pretty conservative and tight when it comes to layouts and design...
Otherwise really eyecatching and nice to see all these Genesis-built websites on this forum!
April 9, 2015 at 7:59 pm in reply to: Genesis responsive design no longer good enough for Google? #147264lunadauhnnMemberI hedged my bets with using Genesis themes exclusively for my higher-end client websites...and I'm not displeased but this new shift with Google analytics is making my clients nervous.
They all are totally "mobile compliant" but the Page Speed Insights show some issues....
All my premium websites are built with Genesis and Foodie, News Pro & (coming soon) Parallax.
I am hoping that StudioPress is going to post a guide for how to optimize Genesis websites for the new Google analytics...Some of my clients have been building their search rankings for eons and are very concerned. Can you, the StudioPress team, hand out some suggestions for how to proceed?
Many thanks for a great and well-supported product.
