Brad,
Thanks for the reply. Can you be a little bit more specific as to where I should be looking?
It is only happening on the one post (as far as I know) so I don't want to mess anything up on the rest of the site.
Thank you
merpmerpMemberCool!
merpmerpMemberWell, I did it!
I installed Firebug, or at least I think I did because it says it should show up on the right side of my address bar but I did not see it.
However, looking at the tutorial on it (thanks for the link Brad), it looks like when I right click on something in Firefox and I get the "Inspect Element" option.
So, I did that instead. I opened two windows, one logged into my WordPress site, and the other on the webpage. I highlighted a link and right clicked and clicked on inspect element. Then on the right hand side I could see the css.
I highlighted that and hit copy. On the other window where I was logged in, I went to Genesis, then Editor. Then I hit CTRL F and hit "paste". It brought me to the highlighted element and I changed the code to what I wanted and it worked for the whole site.
merpmerpMemberBrad,
Thanks for the information, but where is the link? Also, when I moved from Prose to Lifestyle, the text was light and I posed a question on here asking how to make it darker.
Someone told me to go into the editor at around line 144 and change the current color (I don't remember what it was) to 000000 if I want black text, which I did.
Isn't there any way to do the same thing for the links?
merpmerpMemberBrad,
Thanks for the reply. I am not familiar with Firebug.
Picking the color is not a problem, it's knowing where to make the change that I need help with.
merpmerpMemberI think that is where I actually am, I didn't know any other way to do it.
I went to "Appearance" and then "Editor".
I was able to change the text to 000000.
Now, I would like to change the secondary menu from white to black. I don't think it is called "menu" in the editor, or if it is, I've missed it.
merpmerpMemberEamon,
Thank you for that information. I was hoping to be able to do it without getting into the CSS, but you gave pretty specific information, so I don't think it will be that difficult!
merpmerpMemberAndrea,
thank you for the quick reply. it appears to be working now. Lifestlye was gone from the files. i am using super cache or something like that, maybe it took a while because of that.merpmerpMemberwell, stupid me, I think I had Prose installed but not activated, or didn't even have it installed at all. I went to uninstall it and couldn't find it, then I installed and activated it and everything I needed was there.
merpmerpMemberI'll open a ticket with support, but I may have to uninstall and then reinstall and not upgrade. I'm on a deadline to get this done.
The bad thing is I like the default font that appears now but I need the one I have in an example because that is what was advertised.
merpmerpMemberIs that file manager, then FTP root?
merpmerpMemberI suppose I could uninstall it, and reinstall it and just not upgrade, but it shouldn't have to work that way.
merpmerpMemberWell, it is for customers and it depends on which host they choose, but in this case they chose Hostgator, which I believe is owned by the same company as Bluehost.
merpmerpMemberI think so, it's the same Prose I've been using for a while. I have it saved on my desktop and just upload and install it when I make a new site.
The only thing I can think of that is different is the Genesis 3.8 and I think that only took effect yesterday.
merpmerpMemberAndrea,
Thank you for getting back to me. Yes, under Genesis I have:
Theme Settings
SEO Settings
Import/ExportSo, no design setting and I cannot get to the global styles tab. Also, this was a new install. Normally when I install Prose for a new site the first thing that appears is the global styles tab, but that did not happen this time.
Thank you,
MarkmerpmerpMemberGreat!
Anitac, Susan thank you for your help,

merpmerpMemberWell, the sites are ok. Maybe it was just the laptop I was using last night?
I still don't see the "init" option after the "lib".
Thanks,
MarkmerpmerpMemberI don't know if opening those folders did anything, I didn't touch anything in them, but my Prose sites are not right. My primary sidebar is gone, instead it is one large column with everything all over the place.
It would be good if I only wanted that, but I want to be able to use the primary sidebar still AND be able to use a widget on the home page.
Any idea as to what happened and how I can fix it?
Thanks for your help,
Mark
merpmerpMemberThis site too, http://www.urs-refund.com. The contact form is supposed to be in the primary sidebar.
merpmerpMemberActually, all of my sites with Prose are like that: http://www.unclaimed-funds.org and http://www.unclaimed-money-finder.com as well.
I did go into cpanel today to look at a way to change add a widget to the homepage of the Prose theme, but I didn't see the folder I was looking for so I just logged out. I didn't change anything.
Could just opening the wp-content folder and opening from there have changed anything?
If so, how can I change it back?
Thank you,
Mark
