MarcyParticipant
OK.
Info:
It looks to me like you updated your style.css, but not your responsive-menu.js.The latest Magazine Pro theme Updated: 8/2/14
adds
<div class="responsive-menu-icon"><div>
using
/wp-content/themes/magazine-pro/js/responsive-menu.jsWhen I look at your source code, I see this:
<div id="responsive-menu-icon"></div>
Note the difference between "id" and "class"So, two choices:
1. You can replace your /wp-content/themes/magazine-pro/js/responsive-menu.js
with the one from the 8/2/14 theme update.OR
2. You can leave your .js the same as it is.
But then look in your current style.css and replace
each instance of
.responsive-menu-icon
with
#responsive-menu-icon
everywhere you find it.Some in the navigation section and some in the @media section

Use .site-inner.full-width-content .site-inner {
max-width: 940px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}

September 12, 2014 at 4:07 pm in reply to: New to community forum. Question re: Education Pro Homepage #124168MarcyParticipantFor the footer color, you would find the following in your style.css:
#footer-widgets {
-moz-border-radius: 5px;
-moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 8px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.15);
-webkit-border-radius: 5px;
-webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 8px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.15);
background: ##008080 url(images/bg-footerwidgets.jpg);
border-radius: 5px;
box-shadow: 0px 0px 8px 0px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.15);
clear: both;
font-size: 13px;
margin: 0px auto 40px;
overflow: hidden;
width: 1140px;
}You would remove the line:
background: ##008080 url(images/bg-footerwidgets.jpg);and replace it with
background: #44928F;It looks like you're using the Genesis Responsive Slider. You can find it's settings in your WordPress Admin under Genesis > Slider Settings.
Change Number of Slides to Show:
to be any number you like.

.wrap {
margin: 0 auto;
max-width: 1140px;
}Then right below it you can add:
.full-width-content .wrap {
max-width: 940px;
}where 940px is any number you like.

MarcyParticipantIt looks to me like your CSS is using
.responsive-menu-iconTry using:
#responsive-menu-icon
instead.

MarcyParticipantI see drop downs for Resources > Area Info and About Nancy > Testimonials.
Are they working now?

MarcyParticipantI like this one too because it's being kept up-to-date right now.

[Wow! I didn't think the whole Gist would paste here! Sorry about that; I just pasted the link.]
I don't know if you have this solved or not. I think I added the image a couple of months ago to a demo theme for a client, but can't find my notes. I ended up adding a new template for the category pages that is similar to the store layout, well, the client wanted a three across.
The rough demo is here for the category called Collections: http://amethystwebsitedesign.com/clients/lad/product-category/collections/
The page I started with is here:
The template itself - taxonomy-it_exchange_category.php - goes in your child theme folder.
You can add the store CSS directly to your child theme style.css or you can create a directory called: exchange and create a file called style.css in there for your Exchange styles.You probably don't need all the store styles, but that's all I can do at the moment.
I hope this helps you. I'll try to find the other template I used for just adding the image to a normal Genesis archive.

MarcyParticipantMarcyParticipantMy resolution is 100% in Chrome and I reset it in Firefox, just in case.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantI see your menu on two lines in both Chrome and Firefox. To get it to fit all on one line, you need to make your font smaller, use a condensed font, or reduce the left and right padding. Change this line
padding: 2.8rem 2.4rem;
to
padding: 2.8rem 0.5rem;
like this:.genesis-nav-menu a { border: medium none; color: #999999; display: block; padding: 2.8rem 0.5rem; position: relative; }
Right now your font size is 1.6rem from the body size. You would need to add a smaller font-size in this section.
.genesis-nav-menu { font-family: Muli,Syncopate,sans-serif; }

MarcyParticipantMarcyParticipantAndrea, thank you for jumping in here; I'll let you finish helping then.

MarcyParticipantThe 4 steps above are for getting nearly the entire site and settings to the new site.
If all you want is content, using the built in WordPress Export /Import - Step 1 above - is very quick. There is nothing lengthy about it. The other 3 steps are also simple Import/Export for widgets and settings. Yes, the first time you do it, it will take you a bit longer, but it is certainly less time than copy and paste and reformat.
I gave you the Codex link in case you wanted more info on other methods of transferring a site.
I wish you all the best.
Marcy | Amethyst Website Design | Twitter
MarcyParticipantWell, go ahead and try it now, and see if it works the way you want it to.

MarcyParticipantYou will want to read the codex - http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
But this is a method you can use:
1. The text you add to WordPress pages and posts goes into the database. You can get it out by exporting it in WordPress. (You can also use a database export plugin or a backup plugin)
How to Export/Import
When you are logged into WordPress, you can use Tools > Export to export the content (leave the setting at the default for best results). This will create an .xml file. Then use Tools > Import (it will help you install the Importer plugin) to import the .xml file with your text and images. On Import, you want to choose the Download and import file attachments option to get your images to import.
http://codex.wordpress.org/Tools_Import_Screen2. Before importing you will want to install the theme you are using or creating.
3. You will also want to click Genesis > Import/Export to get those settings.
4. And finally you will want to Export and Import the Widgets; the WordPress Export does not export them.
I like Widget Importer & Exporter http://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-importer-exporter/This will usually get everything over. There's lots more in the first Codex link, in case things go wrong, and you may prefer one of the other methods.

MarcyParticipantHow did you remove the primary nav?
I would add this to my functions.php
/** Remove the primary navigation */ remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav' );
Then in front-page.php or home.php, you can add the menu back in just that template:
/** Add back the primary navigation */ add_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav' );

MarcyParticipantDid you edit your wp-config.php to point to the folder that you have your WordPress in now?
How to do it is in the Codex page you referenced.
And also look at what it says about .htaccess.When I have issues, I've usually forgotten to edit one of those.
