I resolved the issue but not the problem.
I created an entire image including text and original button as a jpg.
I then hyperlinked the entire image.
While it resolved the issue, sure don't know what was causing the problem.Perhaps I have a faulty keyboard and it's throwing in those characters.
Thanks
PapakaMemberThe above link was typed.
Using Firebug, here is the actual code as seen:
LinkBut notice what happens when I do as you suggest, just paste.
Link
Those characters show up. So it seems that the culprit is those characters, but I cannot reproduce ifOn my WP page using the Corporate theme, I typed in the raw html and still got the same results.
PapakaMemberWhat's interesting is the same thing happens when I mouse over the link I just made. Could it be browser related?
PapakaMemberI understand what you are saying. However, that does not appear to be the case.
I removed the image completely and just typed a word "link" which I added a hyperlink to.
Did it with just raw html.
LinkAnd when you click on that link, it adds those goofy character and then the error message.
PapakaMemberThanks. After talking to another WP contact I was told the same thing.
I was led astray by the response from the support group... use Firebug to change colors...
So I wasted a ton of time on this small thing. Thanks again
