I was thinking she could add this CSS search button to the existing form
} #search_button { position:absolute; top:0; right:0; width:80px; height:40px; }

http://www.robgoss.com / Follow me Twitter / https://twitter.com/robgossRobGMemberJust like anything else our times and services are always changing including our online software. It would make a big difference if you are a developer or coder. I would have to said if it's something you don't need why change anything.
All of StudioPress theme will be HTML5 ready. And if you're trying to customize your theme you will have to meet the requirements to make it work.

http://www.robgoss.com / Follow me Twitter / https://twitter.com/robgossRobGMemberJust look for the following function codes in your function.php file and remove it.
// Add widgeted footer section add_action('genesis_after_footer', 'serenity_include_footer_widgets'); function serenity_include_footer_widgets() { require(CHILD_DIR.'/footer-widgeted.php'); }

http://www.robgoss.com / Follow me Twitter / https://twitter.com/robgossRobGMemberOk after playing around with the Going Green Pro theme and taking a closer look in the function.php I see the navagation menus are already reposition and I placed the following codes snippet below that is in the function.php file.
With that said I tryed to use a different hook like ( genesis_before_content ) and what I see is this method will place the navagation menu behind the content section and will not display correctly.
It's going to require some CSS changes in your style.css file in order to get this working and I'm not sure how to make these change right now. I would think you would just have to Reposition the content section to get the menu to show on top of the content.
//* Reposition the navigation remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_nav' ); remove_action( 'genesis_after_header', 'genesis_do_subnav' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_header', 'genesis_do_nav' ); add_action( 'genesis_before_header', 'genesis_do_subnav' );
