When I added this one it set my first home-featured background to opaque. So I adjusted it to
.below-home-featured {
background: rgba(230, 255, 255, 0.5);
}to make the added home-featured opaque.
Thanks so much!

Actually I was able to adjust it and from my browser they look aligned. Far from perfect but am able to manipulate it with little i know of coding. I dont know how to check if it registers the same in other browsers. Also was wondering if you could tell me if I could apply opacity to that background only. I tried but the whole content gets transparent as well.
rosemcafeeMemberI'd really like the answer to his question as i may have similar problems with coding. I know tho' when I deactivate some of my plugins pointed by the validation , a lot of the errors go away. I want to know how much it is for someone to tweak my project for final product.
rosemcafeeMemberOk. I added width: 100% so now the widget is working and where it should be. Thank you for your help.
rosemcafeeMemberI'm sorry :(( but also the home.php only has "add_action( 'genesis_meta', 'outreach_home_featured' );
instead of add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'outreach_home_featured' );
rosemcafeeMemberwhere should i put the css codes?
rosemcafeeMemberHi. I put in those codes, however, the pages /posts go to the side of the (first) home featured and not under it { outside the viewing area). Help? Thanks for the input.
rosemcafeeMemberFrom this tutorial links you shared (thanks btw) Is it ok to just duplicate the codes for only one widget and insert it in the same registry?
/** Register widget areas */
genesis_register_sidebar( array(
'id' => 'home-featured',
'name' => __( 'Home Featured', 'outreach' ),
'description' => __( 'This is the home featured section.', 'outreach' )
) );
genesis_register_sidebar( array(
'id' => 'home-featured2',
'name' => __( 'Home Featured', 'outreach' ),
'description' => __( 'This is the home featured section.', 'outreach' )
) );................................
I know the tutorial registers second widget area but i thought i'd duplicate one widget and position it right after the first. In the outreach theme the home featured widget allows me to insert slider but i wanted to separate it and make another block with the new home featured2 right below it . (not a programmer so forgive me) i dont want to mess up the whole codes for the theme 🙁 I even make my changes just on the css so I'm kinda scared to touch the php.
Please help & thank you.
rosemcafeeMemberWow. I'm impressed with the generosity in this forum. Thank you so much.
rosemcafeeMemberIs it too much to ask for codes to make the (image) background responsive?
rosemcafeeMemberThank you 'stinkykong' ! I still have to figure out my FTP coz the password they gave me doesn't work but i looked in the file manager within hosting and transferred the jpg inside the images folder of Outreach child theme. Now I can put full page image as my background with simple steps you suggested.
rosemcafeeMemberit is not active yet but im working on http://www.mcafeesolutions.com
I only uploaded the picture through the media uploader in the WP dashboardrosemcafeeMemberI was able to change to full color bg but i would appreciate any input on how to use a background image instead. Thanks!
rosemcafeeMemberI've tried and tried, obviously I'm not a programmer, but i used this simple code i found online to insert my background but it doesn't work. (codes in the body-tried it in the wrap too) So what am I doing wrong? Thanks again.
/* Body
------------------------------------------------------------ */body {
background-image: url(images/bg.jpg);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-attachment:fixed;}
::-moz-selection {
background-color: #333;
color: #fff;
}::selection {
background-color: #333;
color: #fff;
}/* Wrap
------------------------------------------------------------ */.wrap {
margin: 0 auto;
width: 1060px;
}.outreach-landing .wrap {
width: 760px;
}rosemcafeeMemberThank you so much. I appreciate the fast response and the effective (easy) suggestions.
