How do I find the Genesis Slack group?
December 19, 2016 at 8:21 am in reply to: Picture behind title on pages and posts in Digital Pro #197827SharonMarksParticipantHi Brad - So, as an example, on this page http://paigemeunier.com/contact/ I would like a full width image behind the "Contact" title. Any ideas? Thanks!
December 13, 2016 at 9:26 am in reply to: Blog Page on Digital Pro – Blog Titles Not Showing #197515SharonMarksParticipantOK, I know why it happened, I used a tutorial https://sridharkatakam.com/display-page-title-full-width-featured-image-genesis/ on http://sridharkatakam.com/ to make full width title pages on each of my pages...but for some reason it gets rid of the titles on the blog posts. Has anyone used this and figured out how to make the blog post titles (on the Blog page) show up?
SharonMarksParticipantWow! That did it. Thank you so much! It's funny how the hard stuff works out OK but something simple can have me stumped for so long.
I really appreciate your time.
SharonSharonMarksParticipantThank you so much! That did the trick. I really appreciate your help.
SharonMarksParticipantThanks a lot Victor. That worked 🙂
SharonMarksParticipantI ended up getting rid of the hamburger menu because the submenu dropdowns were not working correctly. If anyone can tell me how to style the dropdown and hover states for mobile so that they are not white on white that would be very helpful because the hamburger would be more ideal for mobile. I followed the suggestions made on other areas in this forum and they didn't work.
Thanks! Sharon
SharonMarksParticipantSo, to fix this, I attached feature images to the pages and then hid them using CSS. Now the right pictures come up when I search. Weird workaround but it worked. Thanks for your help.
SharonMarksParticipantInteresting...there are no featured images attached to the pages in question...and it is bringing up pages. I will try attaching a featured image and seeing what happens. Thanks! Sharon
SharonMarksParticipantHi - I got it to work by using a plugin. Not ideal but it works 🙂
SharonMarksParticipantIt doesn't seem to work with Parallax Pro. Parallax Pro uses the secondary menu and I changed to that but it is still not appearing (not even in the code.) Not sure what to do.
Sharon
SharonMarksParticipantThanks Dave - I'll try it out.
SharonMarksParticipantThis worked perfectly! Thanks Ginger!
SharonMarksParticipantThanks for your feedback. I added display:block to .before-header .wrap but that doesn't change what is happening. The text is still appearing on top of the banner on my phone. When I tried min-height it changed the height and made the hand image not flush with the banner which it needs to be.
Any other ideas?
Thanks again!
SharonMarksParticipantHi - No it's not working. The issue appears when the site is accessed on mobile devices. I should have said that. At narrower widths the text from the top overlaps onto the header image. This is what I am trying to stop.
Thanks!November 24, 2014 at 7:04 am in reply to: Changing Widget Title for One Widget in Magazine Pro #132660SharonMarksParticipantThanks Brad! I had it figured out but a caching issue with my host was stopping the changes from taking. I appreciate the links. I will keep those (and the site) for future reference.
SharonSharonMarksParticipantThat worked perfectly Jeremy. Thank you for your time.
Sharon
SharonMarksParticipantThanks for your reply. I am sorry. I meant I am using the front page widgets on Minimum to populate the content on that page. When I open it on an iPhone for example they are pretty narrow and unreadable. I am trying to figure out how to make them appear one after the other vertically for mobile.
Thanks again.Sharon
