There is no issue's with my settings. My host adjusted them a long time ago.
I didn't know they had a community mode function

DerekMemberNo problem. I just sent one a few minutes ago with the link to this thread. FYI, it's the weekend so a response might be a little slow.
Well it's 6:20am. in my time zone so they could be asleep. lol
~’;’~
DerekMemberI will send a email right now as I'm going offline for about 2 or 3 hours.
~’;’~
DerekMemberHave you sent in another ticket?
http://my.studiopress.com/help/
The studiopress staff doesn't visit the forum to often as the volunteer moderators handle things.

January 24, 2014 at 8:00 pm in reply to: Tired of Hostgator hopeless service, any alternative (no affiliates please) #86898DerekMemberI use http://www.websynthesis.com as my webhost for well over a year. Got my theme from here and as well as my hosting. lol
Support is top notch from the web hosting team. Uptime is out of this world as well.
~’;’~
DerekMemberThe theme has to be compatible with the genesis framework.. You'd have to ask the theme owner about that.
The news theme pro is basically the same as the old version minus some new things and features listed in the blog post I shared. Also if you see other people running the news theme, they could of did more custom work done to it. Like mentioned earlier, you really need to contact the support team to ask about getting the old version.
~’;’~
DerekMemberWell you can purchase this theme then: http://my.studiopress.com/themes/news/
That's version 3.0 of the thread. This is the version 2.0 updated. It's recommended you have the latest theme version as it will work with the latest version of wordpress.
Here is Brian mentioning the updated version: http://www.studiopress.com/releases/news-pro-theme.htm

DerekMemberYou was helped. The out-dated version is no longer available. You must contact the support team about this.
~’;’~
DerekMemberCorrect me if I am wrong but removing the responsive coding the theme will not fit to well on mobile/smart phones now. The menu's sidebar will look out of place besides other part's potentially.
~’;’~
DerekMemberHave you contacted studiopress support as well via. the ticket system? The staff don't usually check on the forum often except for the volunteer moderators.

DerekMemberDo you have any caching plugins installed? Example... w3 total cache
One time my Perm didn't save when I had changed it so I went back to this setting and hit save one more time and that fixed it.
~’;’~
DerekMemberDid you clear any cache?
~’;’~
DerekMemberIt's not abandoned. The Framework don't always update after every WordPress update. If the new WordPress update has so many new features/security changes, StudioPress would put out a patch usually to fix any big's so our blogs will function normal till they release there next framework version they working on.
They are I am sure working on the next release but it might not be needed as of right now after 3.8 rolled out.

DerekMemberMerry Christmas everyone and StudioPress support/moderators. Santa just left my house. 😛
~’;’~
DerekMemberI have 24 and think that's way to much. I'm trying to find way's to remove them by adding coding to the theme files. It's a slow process as it has to be compatibel with framework coding.
Good thing I lurk on this forum daily looking at the coding tips everyone posts. lol
It helps being hosted on websynthesis.com as well. 😛
~’;’~
DerekMemberI don't have the download link yet in my dashboard. I used websynthesis web hosting and I think they disabled the upgrade till they know it's stable for Genesis Framework customers. At least that's what I am thinking right now.
~’;’~
DerekMemberDo you have the YOAST SEO plugin installed and breadcrumbs enabled by any chance?
~’;’~
DerekMemberDid you download the updated HTML 5 News Pro theme yet?
http://www.studiopress.com/releases/news-pro-theme.htm
~’;’~
DerekMemberThere are no free themes on StudioPress and try not to hijack thread's.
~’;’~
DerekMemberI love the new one and agree with the above poster's response. I have this theme installed but have not got around to using the homepage widget's yet. I need to add more images to blog posts before I play around with the homepage setup.
I still want to tweak the theme myself which I will get around to this week. HTML 5 theme's are awesome.
