Ahh gotcha! Not a coder myself and never thought of it that way. You are correct! My biggest concern was to have the author box display directly under the post.

Hello Brad, thanks where do I edit the hook locations?
It’s just one question, why do you think I should post “these questions” one at a time?

I thought I did include the link to the site

I just don’t have the time for that. Once I get the tables placed, can you do it for me to match the other page? I’ll add you to that site. About how long do you think it would take? (payment upon completion immediately this time ;-) ) Do you still have your log in info?

    Thx, Steve

Thx anitac – I was using excel to create the table and just couldn’t find the adjustabilty there. So I took your advice and created the table in Word. Had much greater flexibility to get it pretty close to how I’d like it.

    Thank You, Steve

Ok, thx Nick. But I WAS giving feedback on the theme,.. ;-) It’s probably in a better place now for others to find.

@Bill Murray, thanks for the reply. Yes, through the help of this community forum I was able to get it working the way the client asked, except for control over what content shows on the home page.

    1) I tried the /** Add support for custom header */ code and it didn’t work for me. Although ultimately that would’ve been a much better solution.
    2) Don’t want to display more posts, just control WHAT displays. Maybe something like Genesis Featured Widget Amplified plug in. I was able to limit the amount of posts that display on just the home page through the use of the Genesis Grid plug in.3) Ok, well then I’ll put it it a completely different way: I’d like to have the stretch background image ability on any theme that supports a background image. But I suspect that’s a conversation I would have with a developer. ;-)
Header/logo Solution was eventually achieved here

Home page Content (partial solution) achieved here

Hope the links above help anyone else out that may have the need.
Thanks for all the input & help.

Tried the Genesis – Grid Loop plug in. Pretty cool! It’s working for displaying a single post.
But, it SURE would be nice if I could control what content shows. A page, widget, post etc.

It’s not live yet. (Multi-Site install, domain not mapped yet.)

You were correct,.. But, in a multi-site install, that’s where the images go.

I tried it with the full URL, no transparency and it worked!
    Thx for the help!

Hopefully the designer of the theme will read this,..
I know this theme was originally designed to be a “deceptively simple design”,.. But it’s certainly NOT “most flexible theme”.

I think it could be even better adding some additional flexibility/functionality

    1) Custom header option just like many other Genesis themes.
    2) Control over what content displays on the home page. Maybe this could be a widget area?
    3) Ability to turn off/on the GIANT big nav arrows.

I’d do it myself, but have no idea how. ;-)

@Bill, thx, I had BIG hopes for that. I’d much rather have the dashboard access to the header,.. but that didn’t work either. :-(

anitac, thank you for that. I never knew the I could do archive page like that. I’ll be using that plugin in the near future.
But how will the plugin help with what I’m trying to do.
I just want to display 1 post forma given category
